My grandfather was an avid coin collector who passed away before I was born. I wanted to sell his collection to someone who would respect what he had gathered and also pay a fair price for it. Going through his collection with Paul made me feel like I was going through it with my grandfather. He was honest, friendly, informative, kind, and paid about 20% more than another dealer had offered. A couple teens came into his shop while I was there with some coins that didn’t seem to be particularly valuable, but Paul and his wife treated them with the exact same respect they gave me and a $5000+ collection. They are an absolute class act, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I have been to LJR coins about 5 times and the owner has always been helpful, fair and nice. He is a good businessman and I appreciate him and his business. Wish he dealt with stamp collecting too!

Phenomenal people. I dont know coins very well so i went in to have some appraised. I had a Buffalo head nickel, silver dollars and a $2 confederate bill. They gave me vast amounts of information. The Confederate $2 bill they were not familiar with, so they went online to do some research on it. After learning the valuation I decided it was best if that $2 bill landed with a collector who could truly appreciate it or someone with family history to the Confederacy and also appreciate it as part of their family tree. They offered financial compensation for the note multiple times. After seeing that O just truly wanted to get it to the right person, the owner stuck his hand out and said thank you, a genuine thank you for respecting his professional field. A handshake sealed that deal, but they did end up giving me some dough on the silver dollars. The prices seemed in line with other shops I visited, but they are by far the most knowledgeable, kind, and professional them that I met or dealt with. I will use their tips and information that they provided me when looking at currency in the future and how to handle it I will definitely be back with any coins and notes that I have to sell.

Jacob, Paul can answer the question with a quick call. It's very likely that coin is worth bullion silver value. Right now, $12 per $1 face value of the coin. That number moves around, but LJR will give you a fair market price.
Unless is has a major error in my opinion it is worth only face value. 2c if you collect copper pennies.
Shelly Unless it is in perfect condition not too much. I have some average ones available at $3 each. Regards, LJR Coina
Sounds interesting and would love to see it. Bring it in by 3 PM today or after next week. (We will be on holiday next week.)
Depends on condition. At a minimum, $3 in silver value. A perfect proof in that year can be thousands of dollars. Stop by to see Paul.
