Do not reccomend. My father in law gave us a card with the Cremation Society of Washington phone number on it. He said "when I pass, call this number and they take care of everything". The day my father in law passed, my wife called the number. The person who answered asked where her father was (Overlake) and said they would contact the hospital and begin the process of taking her father into thier care. A week after his passing, the patient advocate at Overlake called my wife and said "I'm not sure why but I think your father is still in our morgue" Another week of finger pointing between Cremation Society and Overlake and three weeks later my father in law was cremated. Then, the death certificate was not accurate (wrong birth date). More finger pointing. If you are not aware, MANY things cannot proceed without a death certificate. Bottom line, I have no idea how much my father in law paid for this service but it was definetly not "when I pass, call this number and they will take care of everyrhing"

A loved one dies. The shock consumes you. You have to get it together because arrangements need to be made. Not once, but twice, in less than a year. Both events were tragedies, somewhat mysteries even. I called CSW and I felt I had contacted an angel. From the moment they met me, they calmly and reassuringly held my hand. Imagine doing all this digitally, over the Internet. Yet, there was a face. There was a voice. There was a team. There was someone to talk to almost any hour I needed them. That was just cool. And, there was a caretaker, but a care taker, someone who takes care of you, really takes care of you. We had a complication or two along the way with next of kin, and what happened, our issue was bumped up to the top and we got golden service to eliminate those bumps. The process continued like water flowing, soft music flowing. It was awesome. Thank you CSW. I will use your services time and time again, unless you pick me up next. See, I can still smile.

Our mother passed away recently and Cremation Society of Washington was there for us in every way possible. They were very understanding of the loss and were very helpful professionally with genuine empathy and concern to do whatever necessary to ease our emotional pain. They called and texted us many times over the next few months to support us in our grief. We truly appreciate the way they cared enough to keep in touch and check up on us. My mom nines actually what she wanted. We honored her wishes by contacting Cremation Society of Washington. Every one I spoke with were very kind and courteous. Even when I when in shock, and couldn’t stop laughing, Karen was very understanding. Talking to me saying we all grieve in many ways. And she understood. From my first contact with them, to the last, everything went smoothly. Even when I requested a speedy delivery, they made it happen. I highly recommend them.
