I want to start off by saying from the moment I arrived at this terminal I was ready to start my career as a commercial truck driver! That’s a important point to make because they expect you to be ready they are not there to make ready, but to help refine you and give you overview of what the company expects from you! The training and development starts in classroom with a teacher by the name of Ms.Debra she has patience that I aspire to have one day! There were some students that didn’t take this program seriously but not once did she break character or said she allow them to get under her skin! She was extremely through about the whole process and MADE SURE each student and employee were in tune with how to use the EOD and understand how to use she reminded me of my grandmother and really made me feel welcomed, she is a asset to that company, then after you complete your class work and documentation you will be introduced to the two men that will help do nothing but WANT to help you succeed and WANT to help you be the best you can be, they are not there to hold your hold, they are there to help you improve BUT if you don’t have the right mindset then YOU WILL FAIL and that will be ON YOU PERIOD. These men go by the name of Cornell and Terry. They come from a lengthy career of operating a commercial vehicle safety and effectively. They inspired me to do better and held me accountable for my mistakes but when you are the right and they can see that they will help those who want to be better! Terry MAKES sure you are ready and if you have any questions or concerns he will MAKE sure that you understand before you leave that place. I asked Terry during the course of training “why do you do what you do sir?” He’s responds was “I love to know I have a impact on y’all life and that makes me feel good knowing I helped someone get to the next level” That type of mindset is rare is the world ladies and gentlemen. Don’t buy into the other reviews of negativeness they are the problem not them. Also this next part is for why I didn’t give 5 stars. This is towards TransAm can y’all please clean those bathrooms more and maybe look into updating them! That would help a lot! lol

They do their best to get you in and out. Very informative and helpful. Will give you a chance to drop your truck late if you can’t make it before close at 7. Travis should get a promotion, he made sure all bases were covered. We were in and out in a day.

No. Never had that problem. They should have a way to track where they sent your paycheck though. Look in your handbook on page 1.4 and call Driver payroll for assistance

Orientation for 5 days, then 9 days of training in truck with mentor, then back to olathe and or rockwall to get in your own truck
I'm trying to figure dispatch out. Drive over 200 miles empty. And the load ain't there when I got there.

You go out with a trainer aka mentor for two weeks. But first you have to pass a road test and skills (backing) test.

Dennis, NONE of these major carriers NEED drivers. If they did, they would have good communication at minimum. I sat for 3 weeks without explaination which forced me to move forward elsewhere and break the contract. These companies get subsidized by the gov, tax breaks for hiring vets, then collection agencies who buy the student driver's debt. They have two different types of businesses going on. They used to own slaves, now they rent us. Cedar Rapids Slave Trade. They are not hurting for anything or they would care.
