Dr. Sudha Teerdhala has been my husband's oncologist since he was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2007. She really cares about her patients as actual persons, taking the necessary time to discuss progress and concerns. And, she listens. Even more uncommon, she treated me, his caregiver, as a full partner in my husband's care and recovery. She discussed his care plan in detail with me each visit. Even now that he is in remission from that initial cancer, she still takes such good care of him as we meet twice (sometimes 3 times) a year. After we moved away in 2014, we continued to make the trek to Rockwall for his appointments resisting transfer of care locally because of Dr. Teerdhala and our comfort with her and her caring. When you already have the best, you just don't want to change. But now that my husband has been diagnosed with a different cancer requiring surgery and chemo (again), we have to have a new oncologist locally. This is hard.

This review was written on behalf of Clarance G. If there was a way to put NO stars I would have due to the experience I encounter at this doctor's office. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS Office. My experience with Dr. Sudha Teerdhala was horrible. She was unprofessional and rude. She does not follow her own protocols as it relates to cancer patients that have a fever. I came in for my appointment on March 29th, the nurse took my vitals and wheeled me back into one of the patient rooms. She never told me that I had a fever. When Dr. Teerdhala came into the exam room she said " how did you get back here with a 101 fever and without a mask". I told her your nurse wheeled me back and she never told me that I had a fever. She was very angry, disrespectful, and rude. She told me that I need to go home and take over- the- counter fever reducer and return to the office in three weeks. She sent me home to die!! Her protocol for cancer patients with a fever of 100 plus is an automatic hospital admission. I found that information out after I got another doctor. What I know now after going to another hospital and receiving tests is that I had blood clots and a skin infection along with cancer. Dr. Teerdhala never told me any of this information. Once I became a patient under another Dr. and they requested my records-her staff was calling me telling me to come back into the office that it was a misunderstanding. I did not misunderstand the unprofessional, unethical, or disrespectful treatment of a patient who was newly diagnosed with cancer!!!

Nurses in the infusion area are wonderful! Made the first chemo treatment so much better! Susan and Debbie are amazing! Dr Seals and Dr. Caruso have been my husbands doctors and have been very happy with their detailed attention to his needs. Texas oncology has been great so far!
