It actually depends on the level you signed up for. If you did the month to month you can cancel anytime with no termination fee. If you are a black card member then you will have a fee If it has been less than a year.

Hi, usually you are switched over to month to month after the contract ends and most likely got charged the one time maintenance fee. Or at least thats how it effected me. Hope this helps.
