UPDATE: Overall my experience in 1 year of living here is: Pros - location next to river and park and river trail, nice grounds, large apartment windows, private entrance Cons - minimal and ineffective support from property management*, minimal and ineffective support from maintenance*, poor indoor air quality, smells from neighboring apartments, lots of thudding and creaking noise from upstairs neighbors walking and running around (I try to not be bothered by it during the day, but it also often wakes me up at night), high rent cost If this place was in a different location, I would give it one star and leave. I guess you just have to decide what you are willing to put up with! *My dishwasher has been broken for 1.5 months and maintenance hasn't fixed it. The leasing office is no longer responding to my email requests for help. Also see the major issue in my original post. ------ ORIGINAL: I've lived here for about 5 months now. There are a lot of great things about this apartment. The location is amazing - it's great being able to walk through the park and by the river every day, and the property paths and lighting are nice. I also like the big windows in the apartment, and the 1 bedroom is a perfect size for one person, as long as you don't have a lot of stuff. The people are also nice. For me though there has been one huge drawback - odors from adjacent apartments. One apartment is being renovated, and I recently couldn't live in my apartment for 10 days/nights due to the strong paint smell. Even just the paint touch-ups when someone moves out fill my apartment with paint fumes and I have to leave for most of the day until it's gone. And it's not just paint, it's any strong smell. I've lived in other apartments for over 12 years and have never experienced this type of issue before. I would have given this place 5 stars (despite some of its quirks) if not for that. EDIT: I emailed the property management as suggested by their response to this review, and it's been over a week and I haven't heard back. I also was in contact with property management throughout the issue, and I asked for a rent refund for the days/nights that I couldn't live in my apartment due to their renovation fumes (it ended up being a total of 13), but they did not provide one. They did provide a $200 inconvenience credit, but that doesn't come close to the cost of 13 days of rent.

I’ve lived here for over 4 years now. I have to admit, I loved the first 3.5 years here. Over the last 6 months or so, this place has gone way down hill. We used to be left alone for the most part from the property management, now it seems like they have nothing better to do. Just today my neighbors and I received a lease violation notice for a fire pit. We’re not even sure what about the fire pits they don’t like but it’s something. Needless to say, this will be our last lease here. If you’re reading this review, do yourself a favor, sort the reviews by “newest,” and see how bad they are the last year or so compared to the previous few years. It’s a real shame.
