We hired Jason to handle a case for our developmentally disabled son. He said all the right things at the beginning - how he would file motions and get to the truth. After we sent our 25K retainer he gave the case to Jorge. Long story short, they used up all that retainer in 3 months reading what Jorge called "voluminous data". Our son had asked for his phone to be downloaded, Jorge finally agreed after 3 months but asked for an additional 3k to do it. Then after another month waiting Jorge tells us and this is a quote "there is no Sift report. The reason for that is that when we retain experts to assist in a case, there's usually understanding that a "report" won't be prepared unless it's specifically requested." Well, that is what my son asked for multiple times but was refused. Then upon asking again and again he finally said he would get the phone download from the prosecutor - so why did he say he needed to hire another company to the tune of 3k?? Can't get an answer to that. More reading at $10K a month and finally they file a motion contesting a lineup where my son's picture background was colored a bright bright blue, making it stand out from the others. Oh and Jorge and Jason knew it was in discovery but would not tell us - my son asked us to go look at discovery. We found it and had to insist they make a motion against it - Jorge just called it a "bad lineup " but did not want to do anything about it. After 5 months he finally filed a motion and it went to court but he was not going to subpoena the detectives we needed - he simply told us if they did not show the court would call them and if they could not make it they would schedule the case for another day -??? I guess that is fine when you have already charged your client 48K for 5 months of reading and one motion. In the end they filed only 2 subpoenas, our next attorney we had to hire told us they failed to subpoenas the other 2 people we needed, Jorge let the prosecutor do it who is too happy to not hold them accountable for not showing. Then Jorge and Jason tell us they need 30K more to continue the case. My son sits in jail 5 months while they charge us 48K to read discovery and file one motion they can't even get the witnesses to the stand on. Completely unprofessional and not worth the money.

If I could correctly rate this law firm I would give them zero stars. I would not recommend this law firm to my worse enemy. My divorce attorney handled my case so unprofessionally and extremely poorly. He did not answer my emails or return my phone calls until after several attempts of me reaching out to him. He made promises that he did not keep regarding my children and then speaking to the GAL while in my care. In the end my husband and I came to our own agreement and the lawyers took the credit for it. I have been divorced for 3 months now and have yet to receive my divorce decree, and still remain on child support when it was to cease in May. My ex-husband’s lawyer has sent his final divorce decree while I sit and wait for mine. I am unable to get my new identification, I am unable to find employment due to a child support lien that should not exist. I am unable to move on with my life All the attorney has to do is submit these documents via electronic file but that seems to be too difficult. I’m still reeling from the damage that was done to me. It was an horrible experience.

Mike Guerin served our extended family for many years. When we needed assistance because of a personal injury accident, Chris Strohbehn and Ruth Campos met that same standard of excellence. Their knowledge of the laws and processes for our case, timeliness, attention to detail, and especially their kindness took a lot of the stress out of the situation for us. (There was no question Ruth couldn't answer!) We highly recommend GRGB!
