This city is the absolute worst to deal with of any in the Northwest suburbs if you are trying to open or run a business. They have all kinds of crazy rules that are unnecessary and are happy to make things as difficult as possible and drive business out of town. Just drive down any of the major streets like Oakton or Lee Street and note all the closed businesses and empty storefronts just sitting around.

My administrative hearing was handled with astounding efficiency, professionalism and fairness. The personnel in Court are friendly, the hearing was swift and the decision was equitable. Easy five stars.

I am not happy to give even one star I wish there is option for negative stars . I applied for business license and so excited for my business once I start working with city for license I found that I made biggest mistake I meet totally unprofessional people who doesn’t have any knowledge about what they are doing, Rude . They are not there to help the community they are there to give hard time to community . They are asking for the things which even don’t make any sense . Their response time is 6 to 8 weeks even homeland security department response faster than them . Once you submit everything and hope for license after 8 weeks someone else comes in the picture and ask you that you need to finish this one and wait until our next response even thats not your fault but still you have yo wait . 1000 times NOT RECOMMENDED doing business in Des Plaines. This is not the good city for doing business with .
