Governed at 55mph. There is nothing express about them. Unsafe in all aspects of driving. If you see a red raider just know you are approaching a traffic jam that is created by them. So bad driver won’t turn on a radio or look at you either. This company sucks…and obviously the safety department doesn’t care because it has been the same way since being on cold springs rd.

I worked here 10 yrs ago. The 1st trucking company I've worked for. Was there 2 yrs and had the best OTR experience with them. They've taught me alot, and the staff was very supportive during my personal medical problems. I miss it there. My only issue is the 60 mph when I was there, lol. I hope they've raised to 65 at least for the newer drivers!

Best place to work and good attitude.... I have nothing bad to say and I've have worked there almost two years now

Normal training is 4 weeks. $1000 for all 4 weeks.
All trucks are automatic and you can team drive or run solo it’s up to you.
Raider Express is always hiring... Just go to www.raiderexprrss.com. To get the number and call.... Once you start you can put me as a referral.. Just put my name William South Hope that helps you
How much trucking experience do you have?
We have several yards in multiple different states but we don't drive to Georgia or most of that region. For those attending the CDL school, students can stay in a hotel and the cost will be deducted from your checks after you complete training and are hired. This occurs over a period of time making the deductions very small
Yeah. Contact the recruiting department
Yes they are
A day or 2
I just asked them yesterday and they do have some regional routes
Yes of course you can do a teams and a bbn out the paid every Friday before might night if you have a checking account is straight deposite by Friday morning you have you money on the bank no matter what.
It is free . It take 4 weeks progam and the realy good thing about it. 😁😁😁they pay you true the 4 weeks you are on school. You make money being at school
The best way I've found to be the most reliable is to stay out 3 - 4 weeks. Especially if you want consistant cash flow. If I stay out 3 weeks that is 3 consistent checks with sufficient mileage. Then I take off for 3 days which gives me 4 days on my following check. Starting is .36 cents per mile. Max miles in a day typically 605 miles at 55mph in an 11 hour shift. You're not guaranteed to run 605 miles per day and the tax man is waiting at every mile marker you pass. Trucks are governed at 60mph, but 58mph is the key speed. *OTR Training( 28 Days ) = .15 cents per mile *OTR Solo Driver = .36 cents to start * Trainers Make $$$$$$$$
Hopefully you got the truck company and identifying markers; truck number, trailer number, and licence plate numbers. If so, you can report them to your insurance company. They will take care of the rest.
What kind of record are you talking about? Criminal history record or driving record? The last time I had to get a driving record for a job, which I believe they do take care of, went back 7 years. Criminal history, I have no idea. However, you could always call and select recruiting in the menu they will answer all your questions. They do seem to be more open and lenient than other companies.
Yes after 90 days with approval but not any pets that I know of
You don't need any experience. Raider has an experienced team of instructors who do a great job.
They don't have Spanish classes but many instructors speak Spanish and can translate for you.
Classes start on Monday every week. Just apply online and they should get back to you within a couple days.
60mph
Look for another company if that's what you want. 1 week out to 1 day off.
Yes you can go home 2 weeks in for 2 days of home time. It is not mandatory though.
If you pass your cdl test, they will ask for 10 years work record. The 2 year gap should not be an issue.
No pets unless it's a service animal. No family until you're solo for 6 months
Drive time depends on available loads. So far my loads have been 500+ miles.
Both
No APU's, but has built in inverters
There is a yard in Amarillo that this company uses to stage trailers
I just finished the 4 week class. They paid for the hotel. Once youre hired $50 will be deducted from each paycheck to repay the hotel fee. The hotel itself is around $60 a night. They even have a shuttle to get you back and forth from class. I say go for it
They have local jobs but not alot. You can get on 5 and off two but the pay I considerably less then if you did 14 on and 2 off.
No contract. But they won't give you a reference unless you work with them for a while. So you'll have a CDL but no real experience. They offer great pay and bonuses.
Yeah it's 6-2 m-f
Hey James. If you are inquiring about training to get your CDL license, its 100% Free. Raider Express actually pays you while you are in training. Just call the office or check out the website for more details. Best wishes.
To remove the restriction, you need to take a road test in a manual truck. The cost would vary. The vast majority of reputable companies have switched to Automatics, for both safety and fuel economy. So the restriction wouldn't really hinder you in the future. Unless you already are planning on working somewhere with standard trucks. In which case you could learn from someone there how to shift. Your CDL, is yours. It's your professional resume, whatever you add to it. Ie endorsements is up to you. Getting a CDL isn't like getting a job. It's a professional license, the more experience and endorsements you have, the higher your value.
It's all dependent on your trainer. Average is around $700 from what I've gathered over the years. The top trainers will get you between $850 to $1000.
Yes. All automatic.
I'm not sure what a clp is, but the only thing you will need is proof of identity. Drivers license, social security card, etc. The school will provide everything that you need. Good luck.
Always wanting something for free!!
No, it must be parked at a Raider yard.
I think after 6 months of driving for them, u can move on to work elsewhere or start your own business. What my son did. He drove a lot! But automatic transmission in trucks. He had his truck tricked out inside, Roku TV, playstation, and nice bed. More miles u go the more experience.Good Luck to you!
Sometimes they do inspections at the Border Patrol Check Point. Just be polite and you'll be through pretty quick. Other than that, nothing to it.
Are you a Van Company? I'm a 7yr. Veteran Driver.
You have to attend school in ft worth but they do have a yard in Houston for drivers that are based there
And, 4 weeks in class and 28 days with a driver trainer on the road.
Yes
I actually drive for Raider Express and there is no contract. Your CDL and training are 100% free. Call and ask for a recruiter to schedule your training.
