The best way I've found to be the most reliable is to stay out 3 - 4 weeks. Especially if you want consistant cash flow. If I stay out 3 weeks that is 3 consistent checks with sufficient mileage. Then I take off for 3 days which gives me 4 days on my following check. Starting is .36 cents per mile. Max miles in a day typically 605 miles at 55mph in an 11 hour shift. You're not guaranteed to run 605 miles per day and the tax man is waiting at every mile marker you pass. Trucks are governed at 60mph, but 58mph is the key speed. *OTR Training( 28 Days ) = .15 cents per mile *OTR Solo Driver = .36 cents to start * Trainers Make $$$$$$$$
Approximately two days for every two weeks you stay out. Keep in mind home time isn't paid time.
That is the truth. Everyone's answer is pretty much correct, Belen.

2 to 3 days off every 12 to 14 days is the average. And, i stress AVERAGE. It is not an exact measurement.
