For people who claim to care about the well being of others struggling with mental health Texas Ketamine Specialists sure have the worst referral process and communication possible. They lost my original referral (which I only found out about after WEEKS of me and my therapist trying to get a hold of them to connect and having no one call us back). Once the referral was re-sent, I got a copied and pasted email response saying they couldn't treat me because of, "irregularities in [my] prescription monitoring report." No questions asked, no follow up, no nothing- just no. The referral form asks you to list medications- not give a comprehensive "prescription monitoring report". It seems wildly irresponsible to give such an informal and cold "no" to someone in a mental health crisis without any questions asked. Had they had any follow up questions at all, I could have given them the details they needed. The one time I was able to get someone on the phone I cried to her- I couldn't help it. I told her how much I was struggling, how much I needed help. They know how hard my therapist and I have tried to get this set up. They know how exhausted I have been literally begging someone to help me... I told them. I am convinced ANY good review for this practice is only for the Ketamine- not for the doctors or staff. People who are struggling with their mental health (really people in general) need to be treated with kindness, attentiveness and good bedside manner- especially in a field specific to mental health. Ignoring voicemails and dismissing their treatment in a two sentence email with no explanation is not the way to do that. This experience has only added to my frustration, disappointment and sadness surrounding our healthcare system. Texas Ketamine Specialists, It's already so hard to ask for help. Please start treating people who reach out to you with dignity.

Horrible experience. I made an appointment, pay for the appointment ($150) and then when I show up at their hole in the wall place in Dallas, they say that I don't have an appointment. Then why did I pay????

None. I don't think any insurance will cover Ketamine.
