I've seen a few negative comments and it seems that the commenter created that situation. You get out of this company what you put into it. Everybody makes time for eachother. Issues are handled easily. This isn't a company to come to if you need to be micromanaged. Open door policy. When I hit the yard I make my rounds from dispatch to payroll to safety to logs and the planners. All smiles and welcoming conversation. Good Miles, consistant/great pay, above well maintained equipment. Someone complained about not having a blue beacon account and what an issue that is. Plan ahead. Dan, Heath, Rowdy, Cody, Mary, Myra and Sandy. These are the folks I work with all the time and it's all great.

So I have been here as a driver for about 3 months now and feel like I have a pretty good feel for things. I have 11 years driving experience and I absolutely love this company I wish I had found them sooner. Everyone that I have dealt with within the company is absolutely awesome. This company absolutely walks the walk. They talk to and treat their drivers exactly how you would hope a company would treat you. If I have any issue it is usually fairly quickly resolved. If I need to call the company for any issue usually when I get off the phone I realize that I'm smiling because I genuinely enjoy talking to the people I work with. My miles are pretty consistent they typically are around 2800 a week. I honestly can't say enough good things but I really want to mention my dispatcher Mike and my payroll officer Lori are pretty darn amazing. I plan on staying with Helwig a long time! Thank you for this opportunity Mr Helwig!

I should have came here a year ago because they have the Miles. Super nice and easy pick-ups mainly drop and hook. Mega warehouses with plenty of room to back in and drop. Leave tv at home. Drive and get you rest. Because you still have a long wait too go. 2200 mile trips .

It's roughly around 60 dollars a week for a individual plan, it's basically average with what's going on, a few perks are new now, but family plans are rather expensive and not sure the exact amount but I'm sure your aware of how family plan rates go.

But my reloads are given to me a day before I unload the load I am under
.47/mile empty or loaded. Out 3 weeks and get a day for each week out. Home time request goes in when you head back out. They have always gotten us home on time. Sign on bonus is $3000 ($1000 after 30 days, then $500/mo until paid in full).
You can bring a truck over to Helwig but they don't have trucks.. really don't know much more then that .. but give them a call they can answer more questions for you
Yes, most of their freight goes from meat patch ( Texas, Kansas, Colorado) then east. Then they broker loads back to meat patch and go east again. I went many times to Maine, Vermont, Mass., New Jersey... on down to Georgia. They won't hire west, rarely going as for west as Albuquerque. Not Florida either.

Helwig handles Hometime by 1. Asking Drivers (Immediately after Orientation when they would like to be Home. 2. They simply find Loads that get Divers to and From Home. 3. Two Pay Days Weekly, helps Reduce Tax percentages, for Drivers.
