I wish all shelters were a no kill shelter, but that is not the case. If they are overcrowded, or the animal is agressive, or unadoptable because of terminal illness, etc. All shelters put animals down, even the SPCA.

Adult pets are spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter. Kittens and puppies may go home and then need to get appointments when they are old enough.
