I will not be staying here again. I have been staying here for the past eight years and found the quality of service and the experience deteriorating. Cancellation fees of 25 dollars for a “processing fee“ seems a bit over the top. There are plenty of other hotels in Traverse City that can meet expectations.

I've stayed at the resort before but the rooms are somewhat disappointing. My room was not really clean (won't go into details) and do not believe the room was sanitized properly as I became ill following my stay yet none of my other team members whom I spent hours with became ill (yay!).

Didn't clean the room daily, but was told that upon check-in not enough staff to do.

Stayed for a conference. Overall pretty good experience. The rooms are a little dated but nothing too crazy. There are a few inside restaurants or bars but I would skip those if possible. Shuttle service to nearby casino was great. Indoor gym services was nice and the indoor pool area looked amazing. Will stop by again.

Guests are not required to wear masks, but it is recommended. Yes, the shops are all open, but the hours are different than pre-pandemic.

We just stayed for 3 nights last weekend. So ya, no fridge or microwave. They give you a ice bucket, hairdryer and coffee maker.
The only microwave I know of is in the coffee shop on the main level just down the hall from the lobby.
All you can do is call and ask. I do not work there just vacation once. As a cancer survivor myself and in remission now I understand the strain on finances. Focus on healing and Great memories. Even if just one day at the resort is all you can afford. At least make great memories and make it happen. Another cancer patient once told me. "Live YOUR life" Do your best to ask and try to get a discount but accept what they find suitable to give and make memories. :)

Grand Traverse Resort is not directly off the beach, but the resort owns a private beach front that the hotel provides a shuttle to. It's only a few minutes away. There is also an outdoor pool on the beach.
Yes there is one in each locker room located in the Health Club.

No need to shuttle from parking lot. It is close.
We didn't try to play but we watched for a while and we surmised they were all members playing.
Did not use when I was there so I have no idea but they do have a website you can go to and get some of the information. You can always call the reservations Clark and they can answer the question for you, have a wonderful day.
