I love walking the dog to Lk Isabella State Park. The country road is quiet and peaceful and the air smells sweet.

Beautiful open trail with plenty of branching paths through the forest and a few to the lake. We went 3.5 miles and could have easily done another 2 with all the different paths.

Such a vast area with quiet water access. Really the shhhh, don't tell everyone, but- a hidden treasure that makes us appreciate the natural world all around us, just a jump off of US101N. I took my leashed doggy dogg for a healthy walk. It's amazing how you can see the lay of the land just going toward the water!

Great place for walking and just enjoying nature. Tread carefully, I managed to twist my ankle stepping into a hole. It's a large field with short and tall grass. One vault toilet, no water and a picnic table. Great place to bring your dogs, lots of room to run and play. No camping here and need to have a Discover Pass.

Questions & Answers

Why do 4 parking spots, a portapotty, and a large open field, with a footbeaten walking trail justify a discovery pass, and need to enforce on technicalities necessary? It is a nice field

I fully appreciate the services provided at lake isabela park. Trails go forever. 2 gigantic fields. Connects multiple roads. Fishing access. Great place to run dogs on long lead. Don't go if you have a problem. Plenty of ways to benefit from this dream park if you can't afford a Discovery pass.

Its actually really normal for state parks to be nature oriented instead of having man-made, garbage looking kid playgrounds that mar the natural beauty we have in the Pacific Northwest.
