We now have 3 children who have progressed through Primrose of West Chandler’s programs, starting in the infant room. Our eldest, this past May, graduated from the Pre-K program while our other 2 are currently in Preschool Pathways and Young Toddlers. Our eldest son initially attended another school until he came home with a black eye as an infant and we were told it was his fault. We pulled him out of that school QUICKLY and was pleased to learn about Primrose School of West Chandler opening. During our initial meeting the owner, Anita Patel, we shared our prior experience, expressed our concerns, and shared our expectations. We knew then that our value and philosophy in caring for children was aligned. Several years later and this is still true. We have gotten to know every single staff member that has interacted with our children over the years and have never hesitated to express any concerns that we have had to any member of the staff. There has not been a single instance where we’ve shared feedback that has gone unacknowledged nor ignored. From our experience, Anita Patel (the owner), Marissa Patel (the director) and every member of the Primrose staff is committed to the safety, well-being, and progression of the students. We would make the decision to trust our children with the Primrose again. Even after moving away from Chandler, we decided to keep our boys enrolled. We happily make the drive because we know what to expect and our boys continue to thrive at the Primrose School of West Chandler. And my husband, a retired police officer who grew up to his family owning/operating a nursery. After all these years, the Patels have become like family. We highly recommend Primrose of West Chandler.

I decided to give primrose a trial run for a week before determining if this was the right fit for my 4 month old. Walking into primrose I was taken aback by the decor. At first I initially thought it was a good atmosphere, not saying it isn’t, but there are definitely a lot of red flags I noticed on just the first week. For starters my son was having soiled clothing every day ironically after starting primrose. I’m a very vigilant mom and highly aware when my son has outgrown any piece of clothing or undergarment. I noticed the communication between the owner and director seemed to be kind of passive. The owner told me that she thinks I should up a size in diapers. My son is 17lbs and wears a size 3 huggies diaper. Size 3 huggies go up till 28lbs. His diaper size was not the issue. The staff WAS the issue. It was obvious my child was being neglected and was possibly sitting in his feces for a good amount of time before someone decided to change him. This primrose is more of an advocate for the teachers than the children. They will question and almost parent shame the parents instead of questioning their staff and their inadequacies. The tuition rate is extremely high for the lack of work they do. You’re pretty much paying for the decor in my opinion. For instance, you prepare your own bottles everyday, bring your own diapers/wipes and you pay for holidays even when there’s no school. Like I stated above, they are advocates for the teachers not the kids. When your child is non-verbal it’s very important to have a staff/team that you’re able to trust and rely on. I didn’t get that here. This was my experience, but hopefully those who choose this program will have a different one.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this school. Let me start off by saying this review is for the West Chandler location. They are friendly and responsive which is a big deal in a daycare. When they tell you they send updates through their app, they mean it and actually send daily updates all day long. I feel connected to my kids day even when I am not around them and it helps to start conversation with them about their days when we get home. I have two kids there who have thrived beyond my expectations out of a preschool. My almost pre-k is already starting to put sounds and letters together for reading. I’m amazed at how detail oriented the teachers are. I always know my kids are safe and happy which is most important and they have better meals during the day than I do! They both have gone to a few different daycares and I am blessed to have found this one. Anytime I have a concern they handle it. My kids father and I are not together and they are always accommodating of us transferring overnight bags for the other household. Emotionally the teachers for my kids have been amazing. The morals and knowledge they show my kids is beyond what a preschool teacher needs to do. If I could choose, my kids would never leave!
