One of the most beautiful places to visit in Houston. The gardens are beautiful and the house is packed with great art and history.

Wow...I loved this!! Winterthur in Houston is an apt analogy. The Hogg family had a lot of money and were avid collectors of early American furniture. The collection has been maintained and is tastefully organized and arranged throughout the house according to the period. You begin the tour with a room furnished in Jacobean pieces onto Chippendale, federal style, Victorian, neoclassical, Etc. Each room furnished in a specific period. My docent was simply delightful and well prepared for the tour. I highly recommend the guided tour. The grounds are beautiful. A definite GO!!!

In the gardwns, not in the house.
Yes - you do pay. Nice reception area ad paydesk. Helpful polite staff .n
Hi! Yes, we offer self-guided tour hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons (but check our website and calendar, because sometimes we offer special programs that can supersed that availability. Gardens are always self-guided. Thank you for asking!
Hello! Event-type photos, such as quinceañeras, bridal shoots, etc. are only permitted during select hours and they must be scheduled in advance. For more information and bookings, please call 713-639-7750. Thanks!
7.50 only 12.50 for an associate to guide him through the garden
Hi Tanya! We appreciate you asking. Bayou Bend’s policy only allows trained service animals to be permitted onto the historic property.
It says temporarily closed.
Hi! If you call to tell us you’re coming in advance at 713.639.7750, we can have a wheelchair available for you to use while on property at no charge. We can also provide additional accommodations that make the experience of visiting more pleasant when you’re navigating the Bayou Bend property while using a wheelchair. Thanks for asking!
Hello, Anna (and thank you, Elizabeth! For reasons I don't know, I did not get a notification for this question, but I did for your reply, so I appreciate your assistance): Anna, the quickest answer is as follows: yes, you can take pictures with your phone. No flash photography is allowed inside the house, and photos can be a commemoration of your visit, but cannot be "event" photography - bridal, engagement, Christmas card photos, etc. Our admission costs, as well as the complete text for our photography policy may be found here: https://www.mfah.org/visit/bayou-bend-collection-and-gardens/bayou-bend-visitor-info Children 9 & under are free, and the most anyone would have to pay otherwise is $12.50 for a visit that includes both home and gardens. A variety of discounts are available to students, seniors, and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston members.
Thanks for asking! Tripods, special lighting and other photographic instruments are not allowed. Visitors can only bring cameras for their photos. For more information on our photography policy, see https://www.mfah.org/visit/bayou-bend-collection-and-gardens/bayou-bend-visitor-info.
Hi! Thanks for asking - there is a charge to visit Bayou Bend. You can find the complete list of hours and admission rates at www.mfah.org/bayoubend.

My family and I went is very beautiful the place we paid 50 dls for 4 adults 😃😀
This year the lack of harsh winter is leading to early bloom of the flowers. So April 3 should be good if it is a nice day
Hi Nathan, The lights on the bridge are for our annual Christmas program. During the month of December, we are open nights so it can be seen lit up! Keep an eye on mfah.org/christmasvillage for 2020 dates a bit later in the year.
Hi Andrya, Any purchase of a house tour at Bayou Bend includes the gardens, so if you choose that option, there is no separate fee. There is also a less expensive, gardens-only admission if you're only interested in the gardens. If, during your visit, you decide you'd like to go into the home, you would only be required to pay the remaining difference to upgrade to a full house + gardens tour. If you have any further questions about our admission schedule, give us a call at 713.639.7750. Thanks!
Hi Victor, Thanks for asking! Bayou Bend is always free on Family Day, which frequently falls on the third Sunday of the month. However, there is not a Family Day in December. Our next free day will be Sunday, January 26, 2020.
Paying? Or singing? For a day pass it is approximately $ 7.50 per adult. Less possibly for children, but I don't know why.
The goodness we wish you sonia lozano sisepaga
Yes, and yes! Saturday hours are from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.. We recommend arriving no later than 4 p.m. to give yourself time to see everything you want to see. Parking is usually plentiful and close, except during our busiest times - event days such as Family Days (select Sundays), Christmastime, and Spring when the flowers are blooming.
This website provides the admission fees: https://www.mfah.org/visit/bayou-bend-collection-and-gardens/bayou-bend-visitor-info/
Hello! Photography of this type is only allowed when making advance reservations specifically for this purpose. Call 713-639-7750 to make a reservation or get more information.
Thanks for your question! Picnicking is allowed on the Hogg Bird Sanctuary side of the bridge. There are even a couple of picnic tables for that purpose! However, we do not permit it in the historic gardens.

You would have to call. I highly doubt it, unless it is a service dog.
