There are wonderful caregivers there offering state of the art diagnostics and treatment in a kind and loving environment. It is a very special place that provides incredible care to local children and accepts patients transferred from outlying hospitals. THE BEST!

Dr. Wong and staff were very kind, professional, patient and knowledgeable m, except for one RN. RN Jim from the ER side, made me feel like I was dumb, like if I was overreacting and I didn’t know what I was talking about. My baby had some type of seizure episode for the first time, fever, diarrhea, vomiting gesture without actually vomiting etc and he kept not taking anything I was saying serious. I explained the whole situation and the reason why we were there and he just kept brushing things off the shoulder and saying how kids do weird things all the time and that it’s probably just a regular cold, nothing major, she seems fine, like if there’s nothing wrong with her. Turns out, she has COVID and according to Dr. Wong, it actually WAS a febrile seizure. Another thing about RN Jim that I disliked and embarrassed me was when I was describing and demonstrating how her seizure was, he asked me how was it again? I thought to myself, oh cool he’s actually taking me serious now, so I did it again and demonstrated the seizure episode again and he said now do it one more time and I was about to do it again when I realized oh wow he’s just getting a kick out of this and making fun of me. So I didn’t do it again and we all laughed about it at the time, but I was pretty irritated and upset about the fact that he was just joking about it rather then making us parents feel like he’s actually hearing us out. Other than him, everyone else was great. That’s why I’m not giving it 5 stars.

How can this be the best to offer for our kids in the valley. The ER is completely unprofessional the staff has no motivation. My child has waiting more then 3 hours to be seen with a fever of 103 coming in. Me and my wife can't both come in with him so he's losing his mind wanting both of us with him he's only 2! They won't let us both in. There doesn't seem to be any urgency and people are waiting forever to be seen. My kid has been balling for 2 hours waiting me as well My wife can't wait alone in a dark parking lot I'm the cold out side ! His heart rate was up to 160 and the poor guy is having the worst experience all this money we pat for insurance and this what they offer SHSME on them 💔

Have them ask for a Social Worker or call Patient Services. They will provide them with a meal Voucher.
Call the hospital and talk to a social worker and maybe you can stay at the Ronald McDonald House while your son is inpatient and they can also give you names of hotels in the area.
Yes
Yes they do
I am so thankful for this hospital my daughter was there with a major injury and she was taken care of better than any other hospital I've ever been at nothing but 5-star praises
YES IT'S CALLED SYCAMORE ISLAND AND IT'S NOT A DUMB QUESTION
Call the hospital and ask who to speak with to obtain medical records.
They have three levels. There are multiple stairways, usually next to the elevators, that access all three.
No
If is busy bon emergency room it will take more 3hrs but you on waiting room with emergency it only takes 1hrs or 2 hrs Good luck
Yes it does
They will treat any child that has an emergency
I believe so. They allowed my 19 year old. But you have to go in alone.
Yes they do there is also a gift shop there that you can call.
I'M SENDING PRAYERS YOUR WAY FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY OVER THE ENTIRE BODY, MURAD ALAM. 🙏🏿🙌🏾👏🏾😇❤🙏🏿🙏🏿
Yes
I'm sure they do, however call them on tomorrow and ask.
If you go to an emergency room to be treated they won't turn you away. They will help your baby. Seek a resource and referral like healthy start were you live also. They will help you. I know there is emergency medical but it's only for an emergency type situarion.
Im not sure you could call and ask
I do not believe so
Let them know at the hospital, that you need to speak with a social worker, to sign up for financial aid.
I understand that they serve up to 21 years of age, but maybe it depends on each area
Once they call in your child you can all go in the room. Thats what happened to me. My son was sick and they wouldn't allow my daughter in and only one parent was allowed until called upon. I'm not sure as to why but that's how it is
1st
I would call or look on their website to see.

I was seen by the maternal fetal department here. I was referred by my OB. I had a high risk pregnancy though so not sure of the criteria to be seen by the doctors there. They are fantastic though in the maternal fetal department!
As soon as you get there ask to speak to social worker it will help you with your food and other things that's a good Hospital it helped us me and my wife I hope everything goes good for you
Yes, but your doctor will have to refer you to the specialist so that your health insurance will cover it.
Yes 911 don't wait anymore
There are no dentist offices at the hospital, but several dentists have "privileges" which means that if a child needs a major procedure with anesthesia, it can be done in the operating room.
If you feel that her condition is serious enough you can bring her to the emergency room 24 hours a day. If not, it is better to have her referred by her pediatrician.
Valley Children's provides care without regard to ability to pay. I doubt that they have a way to accept food stamps (though I know that the Friday farmer's market does).
Air George
Talk to your granddaughter's pediatrician and ask for a referral to the Cardiology Clinic.
Yeah any race could go there
You do not need an adult to attend appointments with you, whether it's for a regular appointment or an emergency visit.
Yes
I think so
Yes you do if you go to the emergency room you get in right away if you have a doctor's referral it's even faster it's all depends what is your emergency
This is the BEST PLACE FOR THAT, my daughter was there in niu.
Depends on a few factors. Usually a few hours at least.
Sorry
They can’t give that info out it’s against HIPPA Law & the children are minors
