We were in grand junction for the night and we stayed at the grand vista hotel. The decor of the hotel is old style but they have all the amenities available. The rooms were decent and clean for the price they offer the room. The staff was very helpful and the pool as well as hot tub were clean. The restaurant and bar looked nice. They have live music performance almost every night and offer taco Tuesday. They also offer breakfast and dinner but it can be expensive. The location of the hotel is amazing and it is near Colorado National Monument and there's an easy access to I70.

This is everything a low priced hotel should be. It was inexpensive but not cheap. While furnishings are dated it is well maintained and exceptionally clean. The staff was professional and friendly. Nice bar for a quick beer before bed was an awesome bonus. I would stay here again without hesitation. A+

Positive: Location was great, room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very easy to fall asleep on. Room was cleaned all days we were there which was wonderful. Loved that we could hang up our towels so they would dry vs getting new ones. Negative: There was a lack of plugs especially on the one side of the bed where there were none. There was no thermostat to regulate the temperature in the room. When I booked the room, I did not know there was a $10 parking fee per day in a parking lot.

Don't bother making a reservation- we had made a reservation with my husband's corporate retreat. We basically were just requesting an upgrade to a suite with a pullout couch. We called the hotel itself to make this arrangement and his company approved it with them afterwards. We arrive and get ready to check in and they booked us two different rooms for the week- neither of which was actually what we had booked over the phone. We ask if they have any of the rooms with the pullout couch available, nope. Apparently EVERY SINGLE ONE of their couches is "broken" and "has been for months." Let me tell you, we researched this hotel on their website as well as booking websites and there was no notation anywhere that this was no longer an accommodation they offered. The folks at the front desk had no real explanation other than "we don't know how this happened" and "you can go somewhere else." For a hotel that doesn't include breakfast for it's guests, charges daily for unsecured parking and touting themselves as a higher end three star hotel, they really don't have much to offer. We ended up down the street in a room much nicer than they could have offered for about half the cost. My husband's corporate retreat was still located there, and we saw MULTIPLE people over the first DAY walk out the lobby doors just as frustrated as us saying their reservations weren't correct either. Maybe it was just a major glitch in their system, maybe it was a failure on improperly trained employees, maybe it's just the management as a whole- no matter what their issues this week seem to be, I definitely will be warning any other travelers I know to steer clear of here. It is NOT worth the effort.
