Was charged $35 for a "stain on the sheet" that supposedly couldn't come out with a proper wash. Toilet didn't flush, bathtub was disgusting as it would not drain. Only getting a single star because it's across the street from a liquor store.

I've stayed at other Travelodge Hotels and they were reasonably clean and up to date. This location in Grand Junction, CO was in poor condition. When we first opened the door to our room we noticed a skunk like order. Also, the AC/Heater unit was making so much noise I had to turn it off. Luckily it wasn't freezing out. I would not recommend this Hotel. I'm done with this chain of Hotels. Pay the extra bucks and get a better deal. Definitely not worth the $90 we paid. Also not the friendliest service.

I'll sum this place up as "not a very good value". I think we paid around $125/night for a rather run down room (see photo). There seemed to be other options in that price range, but we were already locked in here. One room had a broken deadbolt and another room had a broken deadbolt and security chain. There was a homeless guy camping right by one of the only places we could park our gear trailer (we unloaded it into our other vehicles for security). The lights by one pair of our rooms were burned out, leaving them in relative darkness. The front desk guy, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but apparently he was having a bad night (other reviews make this sound like not an isolated incident). The bathroom door wouldn't close or lock. The room was generally clean and tidy, the shower was fine though you had to be careful when a toilet elsewhere was flushed, the water tasted fine. An odd choice of art, two identical framed pictures of the Beverly Hills sign, in case you wanted to be reminded of where you most decidedly are not. In short: I've stayed at worse, but only two, maybe three of them.
