Here is one for you: My son was born and the hospital accidentally submitted him as a female on his berth certificate. The hospital submitted an Affidavit for correction. 6 weeks after that was submitted, I called the hospital back because we still had not received the new certificate. The person checked the WA Dep of Health website and it showed that it had been changed and processed, but not mailed. She said I would need to call them to get them to mail it me. At this very moment I am sitting on hold. Been on hold about 15 minutes, and the auto-voice on the hold line just said "due to high call volume, we are unable to answer your call at this time. Our website has most information. Please call back another time" Also, their hours are 9am-2pm. What a life.... Full-time job, benefits, retirement, 5-hour work-day and you don't actually have to do jacks**t!

We all already know the "services" provided by the State of WA over the last two years has been a disaster of epic proportions. I hurt knowing my hard earned tax money goes to fund this embarrassment known as the Department of "Health". Washington's policies have financially ruined thousands of American families and businesses.

Calling is hell, their website is unclear and terrible to navigate. They still don't take in person visits while all other government offices are open for limited visitation. They don't seem to take their jobs seriously. Though, the location is nice with plenty of parking with even a nice coffee shop.

I’m a foreign trained Physical Therapist working in Florida trying to get a license in WA. Long story short, the last document needed which took me about 2 months and $ 700.00 USD to get appears to have been lost. I have sent dozens of E-Mails, hundreds of phone calls, 90% of the time I get no answer at all and the other 10% I get “we don’t know where it is, we’re still looking”. I have asked for the supervisor, the manager, you name it. In 34 years of life I have never posted a negative review or complained of any company publicly but here we are. If I could give this disaster of an agency a 0 I would, to anyone else thinking about getting licensed there, I wish you the best of luck, you’ll need it; and I would advise to just go to another state.

Yes, you can complete an expired application in person or pay for a late renewal... the counter staff is superb!
For questions about health insurance please go to HCA.WA.GOV or wahealthplanfinder
I think hair nets are still expected for food workers. Go to DOH.WA.GOV and type hair nets in the search box for details. I think food service complaints go to a local health office and the state website offers a contact list.
You need to contact your local health department. If you go to DOH.WA.GOV and use search box for "bats" you'll find a helpful info sheet and link to local health offices.
Do a Google search for Washington State syringe disposal near me. And get a handy map + site details. But call ahead to confirm.
