I've been on hold for an hour with no estimated wait time or option for a call back. Pretty typical when a government agency cant put a system together that offers some type of modern technology or convenience for their people. I guess I'll waste most of my work day waiting to get a simple property specific question answered.

This is a horrible agency. I've had at least four bureaucrats running my case in the last 18 months as I stay at work to avoid living off of the government, even while my injury should probably have kept me off the job. And yet when my Doctor prescribes a treatment, L&I declines it based on a nurse's opinion. Of course, with a lack of timely response - 4 months for the latest response - you cannot learn you are not approved until well after you've received the treatment. And you are now stuck with the bill. A business run like L&I would go under in months, but your tax dollars sustain this inept agency. It is government standing between you and your doctor, and punishing you for trying not to be one of those people that lives off of work and on the tax payer dollar. I cannot say enough about how uncaring, unresponsive and inept this agency is. If you get injured on the job, stay off of work as long as you can, because that's the only way you're going to be recompensed for your time and efforts (hours each week) going to appointment after appointment and managing your case. And get an attorney. Your health is not L&I's concern - their bottom line is their bottom line.
