We find the staff at Olalla to be very friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

I use this place for recycling mostly when we have too much to fit in my normal bin. It does need to be separated a little different than at home. Cardboard, glass then mixed recyclables (Clean plastic, paper, cereal box like boxes, metal cans, aluminum cans). They also have a place to recycle Motor Oil, cooking oil, used household batteries. If you want to get rid of shredded paper you have to go elsewhere such as Purdy. There is a third party clothing recycling drop box. Appliances may be disposed of for a fee along with all other trash. They charge by the apparent size rather than weight like some places.

The schedule of the dump is inconvenient and inadequate. Most people work until 4-thirty or five, closing the dump at 4pm is inexcusable. Kitsap residents deserve much better service. Let's get reasonable scheduling now!

The posted hours are 830 to 4. I'm here at 830 to leave my recycling so I can get to work, where if I am not ready to provide service according to my hours, my customers are inconvenienced. I'm waiting while a truck empties every single bin. I have to meet a delivery truck and open.my store on time... It is already hard to schedule around their three days of being closed during the week. I don't see why they cannot be ready to accept recycling according to their posted hours.

Check out the website or call them. They only take checks or cash. The above post is wrong!
No, they do not accept tires at all. Visit kcowa.us/dropoff to see a list of items accepted.
No, cardboard recycling is free!
Cardboard and paper preferably. Cans and plastic, no. They go in the same bin.
For recycling I don't believe there is buthere is but for trash I do believe there is a fee I have to ask my husband I don't want to give you the wrong information but I do believe that is what he said but I will ask
Thankful for Olalla garbage facility. Close to home and handy on the weekend. Friendly people and always quite clean.
Not for recycling
They do take oil with a limit of 5 gallons, and I believe plastic pots are not recyclable here, in which case you would have to pay to dump them. Hope this helps!
Hi Barbara! We do not charge for recyclables. To see a complete list of recyclable and garbage items accepted at this facility, please visit: kcowa.us/dropoff
Yes. About $20 for an even (6ft. bed) with small sticks and brush.
Hi Lone, Rates for this facility are at kcowa.us/dropoff. There is a rate for mattresses and box springs. Metal parts can be recycled as scrap metal, but not at this facility. Search Recycle.KitsapGov.com for scrap metal to find a metal recycling site.
If those items are dirty (i.e. mud, oily) it would be considered garbage (not free). If it's just dusty and musty, relatively clean, it can be recycled with the mixed recyclables (free)
No
Current rates for this facility are online at kcowa.us/dropoff!
