The adoption process was very easy.

Adopted a kitten. Paid fee. Kitten immediately (day later) discovered with a very bad ear infection; $200 vet visit/meds. So bad, needed to continue meds. after initial 14 days. Kitten also leaking diarrhea. Back to vet—another $200 for meds & prescription food as well. Not to mention all the stress, mess, cleanup. This shelter was not open & honest with me. I did not want a “special needs” cat. I’ve never had a cat before; and this has been a stressful, unbelievably bad experience.

This is the exact same thing that happened to me! REPLY TO PAULA SNARR: This happened a few years ago, so no I have no proof. My dog had tags, and was under 6 months old at the time. She was outside on a lead while we were carpet cleaning and she chewed thru and ran off. I started calling the shelter the same night she ran and each day they said she wasn't there. After a week on my way home from work I decided to stop in myself to post a photo on their board. When I walked in there was a woman behind the desk and she had the the extremely colorful very distinct collar wrapped around her hair that was pulled up in a bun. (I agree, super weird to do but, there it was in her hair). I walked thru to make sure and there was my dog in a cage marked available for adoption the next day! They lied the whole time, and made me pay for new tags to take her home. ALWAYS VISIT TO SEE IF YOUR PET IS THERE!! They can sell full bred young dogs for quite a bit and I believe that was why they kept mine.
Believe they do but you would want to call them just to make sure they have room for them or still even do it.
To adopt it depend on age of puppy/kitten or dog/ cat the yu younger the animal the more you pay for adoption
Ben it varies from the age of the dog i know that much hopes that helps
You can do a Google search for low income vets I do not know of any tight off the top of my head
According to their Google listing, 11a-5p Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and 11a-7p Tue, Thurs, closed Sunday
Yes 6 weeks is too young. You can ask a vet but when the time comes you can have it done through Sicsa. I had 3 of my animals done there and I was happy with what they did.
Yes, they are another kill shelter that have amazing dogs that need great forever homes
Great shelter. All the folks there love animals. If you're thinking about adopting you owe it to your self to visit them
You would have to call to get exact pricing. I know a kitten was around $125 I could be wrong.
Places should start to get kittens soon, kitten season is coming up!
I'm pretty sure you have to be the owner. You cannot remove the chip but get it turned over to your name instead.
Depends on what you're wanting to do. If you just want to spend time with and give love to the animals you do not need to fill out an application. However if you are going to assist with the running of the shelter (cleaning and such) then yes
Lesa, not sure what you mean. The "Adoptable Pets" link goes to their Facebook page. And to Dennis' point, the Humane Association of Warren County is privately run. I don't know of any state run shelters in Southwest Ohio, though a couple are county run.
7th 8th grade I believe b4 rona probably older now
Pets in need also helps people who are financially troubled. Im sorry about your cat. You're lucky it had lived so long. ❤
Last I knew you could but it's been awhile.
They used to have pictures of them on their site. I don't know if any of them have been adopted out, but you can go there and see any of them that are there. Their beautiful, although they do - still walk in circles, due to being kept in small cages all the time. Sad!! The kennels their in now are bigger and allow them more room to move around in.
Idk, this is the first I have heard of them. Hope you find one you like and give it a good, loving & nurturing home. They all deserve that. Good Luck...
Hmmm that's a new one; foster kittens. Do you mean adopt or purchase?
I recommend contacting the humane society and/or local shelter directly for the welfare of the wild cats and to ensure you do break any actual laws and cause yourself actual legal issues such as a criminal charge and/fines. Best advise you can get honestly.
Yes they do. There is a fee since they are yours. Spay your dog.
How much do they cost
I dont believe they deny for that, but it's not humane and there are a lot of already declawed kitties in need of homes, they may have some
Just depends on the age of the dog call about service dogs please
Yes
Well all I can say is my wife was there one time and a lady came in and asked to see all the cats that are on death row. I don't think she was joking, the lady who asked that, so unfortunately I do believe that there are animals that get euthanized because they don't find a home for them but I could be mistaken. You should call the shelter to find out for sure. If I could I would save them all.
A walk around is defiantly the way to go.
I went to see Lacey over a week ago. She is not there.......they ffo not update their webpage......sad!
I don't think unless you got the puppy there that is. The kennel usually chips the animals before they even leave
Not really it changes on the day so you would probably want to call up there
They paid for mine it cost 25$
Yes they will as long as it is not all stained and worned down
Yes they renew every January and are $15 per year. There is a lifetime license but I forget the cost. They sell them at the animal shelter and ace hardware.
Yes
