Well all I can say is my wife was there one time and a lady came in and asked to see all the cats that are on death row. I don't think she was joking, the lady who asked that, so unfortunately I do believe that there are animals that get euthanized because they don't find a home for them but I could be mistaken. You should call the shelter to find out for sure. If I could I would save them all.
I adopted a dog that was to be euthanized the next day, so unless they've changed, they do euthanized.
Definatley not. They sent my dog to warden to be killed in a little over a week saying she was old and she was not. Dont trust them. Inhumane society
I have lived near the shelter for over 25yrs. I am friends with a former dog warden & it most certainly IS A KILL SHELTER! I have adopted 2 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit, 2 hamsters & a guinea pig from the shelter. The pomeranian I have now was on death row bcuz she was "old". I immediately took her to 4 Paws for complete checkup & she Still had her puppy teeth...that was 11yrs ago! They told me she was over 10yrs old when adopted. If that is true she is now over 21yrs old! Lol! I do know the shelter has all new people running it now so maybe they are trying to change things. I still hear the occasional horror stories being this is a small town & living around the corner from the shelter. I do not suggest taking animals there unless no other options. Charging people to turn in animals is crazy bcuz people dont want to pay it & end up dumping the poor animal around the corner or leave them at the dog park! If your fur baby ends up there you have a 50/50 chance of getting it back.
Animals are not killed at this facility, but if they are not adopted they are eventually moved to a place where they are euthanized.
No there absolutely is not
It is not a no kill facility.
Yes. This place completely humane and no hurting or killing of the animals.
