a great experience. I visited kelso,wa/longview,wa for a week to see my girl on a love trip via amtrak and the train station looks retro and awesome as I expected. the station depot volunteer was very helpful and informative. will visit again! :) i see a lot of 1 and 2 stars...for those complaining about the train and views,I would suggest you support train travel and less bus and plane travel and complain to AMTRAK and BSNF or have the towns and cities clean up the surrounding areas on your train trips and fund them to improve train services and quality of train cars.

The actual ride was nice. It was roomy, clean, comfortable, and very nice employees. However, most of the scenery is vandalized heavy equipment and shipping yards. I understand now that traveling with Amtrak is really just affordable travel and public transportation. We were told when we made reservations that it was pretty scenery. We were hoping to see landscaping not able to be seen from the highways.

Look for a man name Dave. He is a volunteer here at the station. He's amazing, helpful and very caring/compassionate to all traveler's here. If your train is delayed he is there to assist & accommodate you. Plus, he's good company! Thank you Dave!!!

Great way to economically travel. Station volunteer is kind and available limited times. Better to contact Amtrak customer service by phone or on the website. The website has a list of common questions & answers for customers or interested parties that wish to travel by train. Ok to sleep on train for a nite. Meet nice folks and you can always carry on food to eat, listen to music, use your computer, sight see, nap or sit back and relax.

Yes there is. Behind the main parking lot is overnight parking. You can keep your car there for up to a week.
Don't have the answer to that... call kelso station limited hours
There is overnight parking next to the main parking lot. You can keep your car parked there for up to a week. Anything longer might require you to visit the police station nearby and telling them what your plans are so they can keep an eye on your car.
I believe this station is staffed by volunteers until the train comes. My papa required disability accommodations, it's best to call the national Amtrak number to make your reservations. I know they do a handicap ramp and the handicap lift at the station if that's what is required; but it's still best to call as the conductors will be ready.
I am not quite sure the cost. Which depends where you're departing from, but Amtrak would be a train that goes to portland, i think. I'd give them a call
It depends on when you want to and where you want to go.
You must have a proper pet reservation and paperwork. Unfortunately you will find that at a staffed station
You can buy it at the station. They have a kiosk but you can only buy it with a card no cash taken at this station. If you need to buy with cash you would have to travel to portland.
Kelso train does not "sell" tickets. Kiosk mach. to print tickets & volunteers only at th station. For your cruise, I suggest u Google the Cruise liner u going2 board & read frequently asked questions& answers or better yet, if u have a smartphone, press the lil mic on th search bar& just ask Google..... the helper should provide u answer 2 your question. Just mak sure uask w/detailed information2obtain correct answer u are so desiring pertaining 2 your important question.
It's free to use. You can park there for up to a week. Just make sure that your valuables aren't in the car and it's locked up since the area can be a bit seedy at night.
