Great day park for picnicking, playing Frisbee, horse shoes or just about any other family game you can think of. Birthday parties are extra special at Riverside park. There are scheduled ball games in the spring, summer and fall. The Cowlitz river is just over the dike for the anglers or the young beginner fisherman. Check it out, you will be happy you did. Very Beautiful, Also Peaceful with all kinds of activities. Picnicking available, 2 Play Grounds, one for young children and another for older kids. They even have doggie bags for pick up 😁

Yes it costs to reserve. You can also use it for free first come as long as it's not reserved.
The Cowlitz Co. Parks and recreation, or the County Commissioners would be where I would start. I seem to remember a program they have for citizen's to suggest improvements to parks and recreation. A disc golf course at Willow Grove would be another place that would be a Great place for one too.
