The Four Freedoms House of Seattle is a wonderful relic of the past. A legacy of FDR/LBJ social liberalism, HUD and the "Great Society", public housing for seniors. Originally intended as a union retirement home, it is solidly built on Bitterlake's shore, conveniently located next to a mini mall and on bus lines, a block from Aurora N. just south of Shoreline. The Broadview library is within walking distance, Bitterlake Community Center and playfield just down the street.
