The process of renunciation and OCI at CKGS is poor and the staff is not cooperative. One small mistake and you have to return back and refill the form again. in middle of downtown if some is is going for any services make sure you have all necessary applications filled out 100% accurate, not even 99% they will toss your application and ask you to come back. waste of time and money. Don't know hat kind of Attitude they have but they are living with poor standards. Feel sad that Indian consulate and the CKGS won't help the applicants the way they should be.

I called them no one answer. So I went to location and found that this location is permanently closed.

They guys have a website with vague instructions and a customer service that is substandard. Wish Indian consulate changed their partner from CKGS to someone else! Update: The issue specifically here is that I sent photos as per specifications where in one of the example photo one picture had more saturation and hue, this is exactly what I followed and sent them the pictures and now they are rejecting it. After over a million back and forth emails they still wont admit that they have vague photo specifications! Because it is your mistake I should not be the one taking the pain to send the photos at my cost but at your cost - That is the least thing you can do!! Also, your represntatives are not at all helpful, they only repeat the same over the mails. I dont think they can solve my problem! Update 2: These guys have STOPPED responding to the emails and not communicating anything!! They also sent my application to the Embassy without my consent!!

Cheaters - I had paid for my OCI Card online and went in person to submit the documents. At that time I was told that they cannot proceed with my OCI because of non availability of my Indian Passport. I was told that they are going to credit my account for the amount paid - they waited for 2 years to do the same and in the meantime I had closed my bank account, still they insisted that they have credited my account and to check with the bank. Just one question - how can they credit my account which is already closed?

Regular timeline is with in 1 month, i got mine in a week
I was at their office two weeks ago. There are people in the office but they will not entertain you if you go there. All the correspondence has to be done via courier/post.
They take walk ins from 9 am to 10 am afterward appointment only
To CKGS and the name of of the application form submitting
Yes you have to change because you surrender your indian citizenship also make sure current passport no match in card other wise you can't enter India
Go ahed and ask I will try it as much I can
Start with the CKGS website, on step 2 it will lead you to the Govt of India website where you fill out the visa application form. You need to fill out that form to move to next step.
Walk ins are only accepted between 9 to 11am if I remember correctly. Once your documents are checked and approved at the front desk, you take a coupon and wait inside. The wait for me was roughly 10 minutes. Hope this helps
Hello, I have not found any numbers other than the ones listed on the website... I am looking for the same thing as well.
There is no parking the actual building, but there are parking lots around the area (pay for parking).
Name of your city you live in. Google it
I don't know the specifics of that. What I did was go downtown and got more clarification and focus from them (CKGS ) directly which really helped streamline the process. I hope this helps.
I have not done that before,,,so please call their customer service,,,,their customer service reps are very helpful and will guide you step by step.
I have not done my oci application yet so I am not aware of this process,,,,you need to call their customer service,,,,
I have not applied for my oci, so I dont have any info abt this ,,,but if you call CKGS customer service,,,they should assist you on this,,,
You can fly out to India as you are Indian citizen but you may have problems on your re-entry in US as your passport will be expiring in a week after your arrival. Best thing to do is renew your passport before you fly out.
Just book an appointment thought CKGS and then go over the next day..no need to wait for actual appointment day.
Check the scheduling website. Most probably not.you will be lucky if u get any for early Nov
You can print a copy of your e-visa and that's valid. You don't have to apply again. However, make sure that whatever you got is for 2 visits. Usually e-visa is for 30 days and it will have a port of entry where you can enter India.
If you go to their home page, their is a pop appear at the bottom of the page which ask for the web reference id, enter that and continue to your form and get your print out
No, you can't. You can fill the the forms online and pay using credit card.
Yes, as far as I've seen, they didn't give much importance for timing. Just walk in and pick the token for scheduled visa appointment from kiosk and go ahead
How much fee for OCI CATD
India doesn't offer lifetime Visa, its for 10 years. I think if you have enough years left on the visa, you can transfer it through the consulate for 40 some $.
You should carry both your passport
If you did this through the CKGS website, you should have seen an option to pay online. You can also pay at the center.
