Ms. Lindsey helped up get our marriage license. I’m getting married this weekend and went last week at 4:30 and was turned away because they close at 5. I randomly met Lindsey in the hall way walking out and the next day I called the number she gave me and was in and out in under 10 min

Michelle at the front desk in the Marriage Court (Lower Level) is an absolute angel on earth. If you are her supervisor, please give her a raise immediately and a giant end-of-year bonus. She went so far above and beyond to help us book our appointment for an in-person ceremony, despite the month of October being completely booked. We are so grateful, thank you Michelle!!! Also, Just FYI - in-person ceremonies at the court house downtown are currently booked out 5 weeks in advance.

We have a ZOOM wedding scheduled sometime in the future. So we needed to drop off our marriage license in advance so the judge has the license in hand when the ZOOM wedding is occuring. As we will be at 2 different locations, the license needs to be in the hand of the judge before the ceremony. So we went to City Hall to do this. It was a disaster. The online instructions indicate to go to 118 N Clark, Lower Level. But where, there are many rooms on the lower level. We went to the marriage court on the 4th floor. It was deserted. Nobody to help. We went back to the clerks office in City Hall. Basically nobody even knew ZOOM weddings exist. And nobody wanted to help. Typically employees at any place of employment are there to help customers. Not so here. Very rude. I may be wrong. But the group of people that "helped" us may be the most incompetent people that currently exist on the planet. We have time to get the license in the correct hands before the ceremony. So hopefully a person exists that knows what the hell is going on.

First you need your marriage license which is $60. You get it across the street and you have to get it at least 24 hours before you get married. When you get married, just bring yourselves, your marriage certificate, and $10. Total cost $70. Not sure if you need a witness.
