This is a great place to stop while on the D&R trail to access and see the river. This area is always nicely maintained.

I mean it's a boat launch, if you want to launch a boat on to the Delaware River it will do the trick.

The river is very good. The water is cold and the current is very gentle, perfect for being in a relaxed float for more than two hours. I recommend: good sunscreen, drinks and food, as well as a bag for you to put the garbage and take it out of the river with you when you leave it. Also, leave a car where you get out of the river to be able to go up the other cars you left at the beginning. Be careful with the children, the river has parts where you can stand and the water reaches up to your ankles and others where you don't even touch the bottom.
