A big thank you to Bernadette, Valérie and Lucie who are all three wonderful. They helped me a lot. Bernadette answered many of my questions. They offer a public service of excellence!

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service. Each person I’ve spoke with or emailed with says to “go to the website” and will not answer my question. Literally, they will not answer a specific one that I have. I’ve been very polite and straight to the point. I have been on the website several times, which does not answer my question. Renewing a passport is a very important matter, I wish that more helpful people would work there. If you do not speak French, beware of rude employees (more than one) who profile you and simply do not care.

I was very nervous about going to get my French passport because my French isn't the greatest, and I've been putting off going to get it for years. I'm so glad I finally went - the lady who assisted me was very professional and friendly, and I'm so thankful for the help she provided!

Can always count on the French to mess up your honeymoon plans. Drove 6 hours one way and wasn't even given more than 5 minutes of consideration. No wonder no one likes the French.

Ok. It is for 1 week that I would like to spend in France what are the documents to provide? Thank you

It is not automatically conferred, but must be applied for. You need to apply for 'nationality through marriage'. Most are eligible after 4-5 years of marriage, depending on if you lived in or out of France during that time. You will need various documents, including marriage certificate and birth certificates from you both and your parents taken in last 3 months and officially translated, pass a french test that is only offerred at a few locations (and in france) and so on.
According to https://fr.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/messages-for-u-s-citizens/ "U.S. citizens with valid passports traveling for tourism or business can enter France without a visa for a period of 90 days within each six-month period"
Go to their directory regularly, they only release a few slots at a time
You don’t need a visa if it’s for tourism and you are a US citizen. You can stay up to 90 days.
Of course. Call the number for more info. and specific information. The website in particular. Good luck.
I need to visit my daughter, a single mom who needs help with her daughter. We are fully vaccinated and will take the necessary CoVid tests as well as isolate upon arrival. We plan to stay one month. Thank you.
Not sure. Best bet is to contact your nearest French CONSULATE in your region. In originally from Cincinnati Ohio, so Chicago was my French CONSULATE.
Hi Kamel. Unfortunately 'green card' does not allow to enter EU without visa. Your country citizenship defines whether you need to apply, This page should help you: https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en_US/web/france-visas/
Combine cute a french passport
Why do you ask here on a public Google maps page? You need to go to the official website and either call, email, or take an appointment.
You can stay for 90 days as a tourist but then you need to leave for the same amount of time you spent there. If you plan to stay longer you should look up the different French visas available and see what correspondents to your needs.
You'll need to go to the French consulate in Chicago to present all the documents required in person. To know what documents to give for passport renewal, you just go on the consulate website. Now they'll send you back your passport at home once ready.
Normally one can be in France for 90 days and don't need to ask for a Visa. The stamp that you'll get on your passport at the border should suffice. Do double check my information though. Bon voyage
No you don’t need
If you are a U.S. citizen, you don't need a visa for short stay in Europe. Otherwise, depends on what you want to do in France. I went there as a student, so I also need a letter from my University and a letter from a French host institution. Don't forget to make copies of all your documents! Good luck!
I was told I could pick up my Visa on Friday (3/9/18). I now realize I do not have an "appointment" I fear I will NEVER get past security to pick up my visa. Leaving the country on Monday morning. What to do?
