Purchasing a membership is exciting being able to enjoy beautiful animals and people. Going to be a great year. Walking around the zoo this time if year is like being in a forest, lots of trees bushes and flowers all surrounding beautiful animals.

I really liked this zoo. Greatly surpassed my expectations. Visited on the way home just after visiting Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and I was impressed. The museum walk through was also great and really well done. Walking through the entrance I could see this zoo is well maintained and cared for.

Had a blast! 'Twas a hot day, glad we did the museum after the zoo, the dioramas and AC revived the kids energy (and my own ;)).

Nice gift shops!! The reptile building is lots of fun with varieties of frogs, lizards, turtles and snakes. Another favorite were the friendly giraffes though can't feed at this time due to Covid-19. Have a year old baby giraffe in there, pretty cute! Has enough variety in animals to make it a fun family experience while not being too tiringly overwhelming. Make sure to checkout the Wildlife museum - a good way to cool off in the AC while still looking at animals! Or stop by the Overlook Restaurant for a lemon or orange slushie.

Linda the zoo's admission prices are as follows: Adults - $13.95; Seniors (65+) - $12.95; Children ages 3 to 12 - $7; and Children 2 and younger are FREE.
While State Street & Ohio are still closed, there are several other great routes to the zoo. From Salina you can go west on highway 40 to Halstead Street, turn north to State Street, then turn west to Hedville Road where you will go north to the zoo. From I-70 go to exit 244 (8 miles west of Salina) and go south on Hedville Road to the Zoo. We will be open every day through Memorial Day Weekend from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Yes, Rolling Hills Zoo is part of the AZA's Zoo Admission Reciprocity program. Upon check-in, by showing your membership from a zoo that also participates in AZA's Admission Reciprocity program we will give you a 50% discount on your admission.
Open EVERY Day, except, Christmas, and New Years ! The animals need attention each day. ( I have been a volunteer there for 21 years.)
They have sporadic times when they feed them. Not sure if they have set hours this year.
Rolling Hills Zoo does reciprocate with other AZA Zoos. You can see the complete AZA Zoo Reciprocity list by going to: http://www.rollinghillszoo.org/info and look under Admission.
