Lady in the front to check scrap quality is too crabby I don’t like doing business with people who seem like they don’t want my business I’ve tried multiple times to see if she just having a bad day but she’s just plain rude I would recommend taking her out of the customer service area if she doesn’t like certain peoples until then I’m taking all business to the other locations

Hard to believe they have such good reviews? We came to sell some copper and some silver jewelry. We stopped and started to eat our meal before we went in. A lady immediately came by and asked very rudely if she could help us ans if we were actually gonna do business there. Then a short time later a male comes out with a baseball bat threatingly telling my pregnant girlfriend who was driving we were parked in the wrong spot. Even though a sign 2 feet in front of out car said customer parking. We pointed that out and he said that was for fabric not metal. We apologized and said we didn't know. When my gf asked why he was pointing a bat at her when we didn't know and couldn't have. He said to leave and he didn't need her attitude. We called the police. The office lied about the bat they came out with and said we refused to repark. The police informed us that the business can trespass us for no reason. Refused to look at the video on premise where he did threaten us unprovoked. And jus asked us to take our business elsewhere because this place has a lot of problems with the homeless. SO WE WERE PROFILED, THREATENED BECAUSE OF A STEREOTYPE, AND THEN REFUSED ANY FUTURE SERVICE BECAUSE WE CALLED THE POLICE TO REPORT THEM FOR UNPROVOKED HARASSMENT AND THREATS OF VIOLENCE. i wish i could do more than leave a one star review and why the police refused to look at the businesses cameras to investigate our claims is beyond me and a separate issue. This place deserves NO BUSINESS WHAT SO EVER! Seriously take your scrap to west seattle recycling. Night and day how much better we were treated there!

We encourage you to call-in to one of our non-ferrous metal buyers to get a real-time price, as commodities, such as copper are constantly in flux on the global market. You can reach our buyers at 206-628-6232.

Kyle - Thanks for your inquiry. Our sister business, Seattle's Doorhouse (located nextdoor), has a metal yard where we offer some of our scrap metal for re-use. You never know what treasures you might find in their metal yard. Good luck on your fun project!
We generally do not accept auto parts with some limited exceptions: radiators, alternators, starters and batteries.
Thanks for your interest. We do purchase copper wire of all grades. The market price fluctuates every day and what we pay is also dependent on the volume sold and the recovery of the wire. Please feel free to bring a sample of it in for a proper quote or use our quote tool on our website.
With respect to our precious metal purchasing only (silver, gold, etc.), we are open to the general public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Precious metal purchasing from commercial customers is available Monday through Friday (appointment preferred). Our non-ferrous purchasing (copper, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, etc.) is open from 7:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Monday through Friday to all customers.
Daniel - Thanks for your question. Our commercial accounts, where we buy large volumes of non-ferrous metal, are also paid for steel. Small volumes of steel can be recycled here when selling non-ferrous metals, but if payment for those items is critical, there are a few other recyclers nearby who may pay a few cents a pound for that material.
Thanks for your inquiry. Please feel free to call (206) 628-6232 to speak to one of our precious metal buyers for a real-time quote. With how volatile gold is, it would be a stale price the moment after we post it. Thanks!
Thanks for your inquiry. Please describe what you mean by "flour gold" or feel free to submit a picture on our web portal for price quotes. We do not offer smelting services to the public but can quote you a price for your gold based on current market price. We utilize XRF equipment to ascertain purity of the material.
Thanks for your question. Those items would be better suited for a steel recycler. There are a number of great recyclers that can help you with appliance recycling.
Thanks for your interest. Please direct inquiries regarding purchasing our metal to our metal trader, whose information is available at our website: www.paciron.com
I estimate 500 pounds+ but it will go up as more months go by
We recycle large batteries, such as vehicle batteries. Thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for asking. We will be closed Thanksgiving Day. We will be open from 7:30-11:30 am on Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th. We will be closed Sunday.
We sure do. We recycle computer wire, Cat 5 cable, low grade copper wire and more. Bring it in ,and our team will get you paid and your material will be made into new copper!
Thanks for your inquiry. For a single battery, we are paying around 12-13 cents per pound as of August 7, 2019. Higher price for larger volume of batteries.
Pacific Iron and Metal does not accept
Yes they buy all kinds of jewelry. They pay the most for precious metal than other buyers
We do, in fact, buy iridium. It comes in very rarely. We likely can pay 50% of spot for it. Feel free to come visit us, and we'll test it for you and give you a quote. You can decide after that if you would like to sell.
Nikko - We are not clear on what it is you are asking. We buy scrap aluminum, and then we sell bulk scrap packages to our trusted consumers. We hope that is helpful.
Heidi - We can absolutely help you with that. The state law (RCW 19.290) requires you to provide written documentation that you are the owner of the marker. In this circumstance, we prefer to see a receipt for the marker, as well as a note from the cemetery authorizing the sale of the marker. I know that seems like a lot of hoops, but the law is meant to deter theft of grave markers, which can be an issue. Please don't hesitate to call in and ask for Ryan if you have further questions.

We operate mainly as a non-ferrous facility, and therefore, we do not handle scrap vehicles at this time.
