I have been to this office three times as I applied on 9/9/22 and was given Nick as he is the guy the office manager told me as I asked to speak to her. Well I have left 5 messages for Nick, faxed a letter, and sent a letter federal express that has been signed for and today is 10/31 and NO response. Its a joke!

Ms. Bromley and the security officer were very nice, helpful and patient.

I would like to set an appointment plz. Thx.
Yes
Nope you need to call them with the number available in their portal to schedule an appointment.
I would like to make an appointment
Walk in
I am trying to make an appt. to discuss ssi.
How I can make appointment
Do I need to appointment?
You gotta call for appointments
Sign the form and return it to your local Social Security office by mail or in person.
I dont think they take appointments. Be there before 8:45am, I'm told, and the wait won't be long.
paji, nahi
I would suggest going online and signing in to your account. If you do not have web access, you would have to come into the office. Best to arrive early!
No. But the wait can be loooong
It's walk in.... get there early
No. But fill out the forms you need. The guard announces it before opening the doors and says you will have a 2 ton3 hr wait of not filled out. Plus get there early.
No appointment is needed. Just join the long line.
No, walk in is fine too. Be prepared for waiting outside. Due to Covid measures they only have an occupancy limit of 35
Not required.. good to visit after 2PM
Here now. We don't have an appointment. The gentleman at security desk said they will assign us an appointment if needed so we can come back. You will need to stand outside and let the security let you in.
No,,You can walk right in Monday thru Friday 9am to 4pm
No,,You do not need a appointment. The office open at 9am and if it's alot of people. They make you wait outside. I don't know what documents you will need, cause I am no where near retired age. However you can call there number and they will give you all the information.
As a prior Medicare Agent… as I am no longer licensed but I will suggest that you have her go down and sign up.. Medicare A/B and D.. to collect Social Security you just need to apply at the office. You can still collect SS while working part time or fully retire. You can start the application process now..
I'm almost here 2 days in a row
If no answer then you can do walk ins.. best times is AM.. if your calling the 800 number it goes to a main HQ office and the. They will set an appointment for you.. But IT Really is best to walk in..
Yes all you have to do is call and get past the government robot. Good luck they are very poor at doing there jobs at this office. 😕
No
Took me 3 hours to get thru and the line was longer when we left so I suggest trying to walk in early in the morning if you can
Based from my experience, I didn’t made an appointment. I just walked in. I was there 2 weeks ago.
No appointment needed. Just walk on in Monday thru Friday 9am-4pm. You must wear a mask.
Nope.
No, but will wait ~1/2 to 1 hour, if you don't make an appointment. Verify necessary paperwork in advance, from SSA website, to speed up process.
The procedure I have always used: Look up the SSA office closest to you on Google Maps and get the phone number of that office, not the 800 number. Call that office. Be prepared to wait on hold for 1 to 2 hours. Be prepared to call back multiple times when you are disconnected. When they finally answer, make your appointment. Do not, repeat not, accept any suggestions from them about doing things on their website. Refuse any option other than an in-person appointment. When you go to your appointment, be sure to have all the necessary documentation and any other documents that might possibly be relevant. Better to have it and not need it, etc. Perseverance, not luck, wins out in the end.
Im at the mt. Prospect location and I walked in. You still need a mask
Yes
You will have to call
Need to call the respective social security office and book an appointment for new SSN
Call his office and enter his extension directly.
You can drop off your application and documents in the Dropbox for a name change. You will not need an appointment. It will take them 2 weeks to process your change.
By calling your assigned office number. In my case, it took 2 and a half days to get a response. After 20 minutes waiting, the system automatically hangs up. One positive note, once in the office, the person who attended us, was very helpful and polite.
No, you need to have an appointment.
No it's currently appointment only
Most likely, otherwise see if you can do it online. The first thing they asked me; If I didn't have an appointment, I can't come in... I called their phone number many times and been on hold for 30 minutes. Still can't get through a person on the phone.
By calling the Number on the banner to schedule an appointment and request Mt Prospect location
Call at the office's number
You have to call ahead and schedule during Covid-19
Y our doctor will tell you everything, it usually pays 80% and you have to pay the rest. If you sign into a HMO plan you may have no additional costs. Contact medical insurance bróker, they will help you further.
Yes.
You can make one by calling the number
U can, but its better two do it in person, who u can get ur form back
Send it to any one of the offices. Good luck, they never check their mail. Your best bet is to go in person.
You need to have documentation of your autism, both by school récords as well as doctors récords. You May need to see a psychiatrist. Autism is a spectrum, some cannot work at all, some work and are self supporting. Go with your documents, ID, birth certificate and SS card. They will do the rest.
You need to apply. You can apply online or in person. You need to bring your personal documents if going in person or scan them into the website. Personally, l would go there. I am not a fan of putting my sensative documents online.
NO. They have to send it through the mail. But if you go there in person with your documents it will be sent faster.
I got a letter from Aetna Processing Center asking to update Mom's mailing address. She's on Medicare and it says to contact Social Security Administration. This will confirm that we will receive the Explanation of Benefits fast. Please let me know how to do this. I've waited on the phone for the Mt. Prospect Social Security Office over 10 minutes and when a person came on the phone, I could hardly understand her. Thank you.
If you go there in person and apply you may get it in a week or two. That is the fastest way.
Do I need to bring my Creditable Insurance Information?
You need to sign a direct deposit slip at the bank so they can send it to Social security to put your funds in the correct account. Hurry, it has to be done within the first 15 days so that it can be correctly deposited .
You just go there with your ID, if you can't wait they will give you one as well as information about the documents that you need.
No. But if you go to the office you will get it in a week or two. Bring all your proof like birth certificate and State I D.
You can make one and I would recommend that as the wait time is 3 plus hours. There is an electronic terminal where you sign in and take a number which asks you if you have an appointment, but their website doesn't gave that option so mu best guess is that you need to call tie local office and make an appointment. Good luck.
Yes I also did a walk in I got there 45mins before they opened & I was 10th in line. I got waited on pretty quickly & I was in & out in about 45mins..
Let the police department know the phone number they called. Same thing happened to me.
My mother has never received a late check in over 30 years
No but the wait time is horrific .
I was there early in the morning without appointment. It goes fast. Good luck.
You have to go in person, take a number and wait a couple of hours.
No
No, just take a number and wait an hour or two
Call Social Sec office nearest to you, can Google " social security administration "

When you collect you can make up to $17600 per year. Anything over that reduces your ss. But it will increase down tbe road as long as you keep contributing to social security
Yes but only if you receive social security benefits. If you do not, your change of address is not needed.
