Do Not Go to Banfield or Use their Optimum Wellness Plan! If your pet needs a follow up appointment for an ER visit they have no capacity to see you within a reasonable amount of time. If your pet dies, they will still charge you for the Optimum Wellness Plan. The customer service at the Optimum Wellness Plan Company had no sympathy or empathy that my cat's health is failing. All they could do is bring up money! The ER they recommended (AESC in Parker) charged us $275 for nausea meds, they didn't do blood work or testing and told us our cat could basically go downhill fast. I am taking my cat to GoodHeart, and VEG ER on Colfax!

No. During hospital hours they will not call you back to provide advice. I had to use a different service and got advice that didn't require emergency service. Vet chat came through just not through them and I have their plan. Some advice or a call back is the least they could do.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
