Good equipment for beginners and intermediate strength training. Fun sports. Barely decent hot tub but decent enough. And many other events worth looking into.... Also good classes too. Oh and don't forget the free coffee and hot chocolate drinks if you have a membership or pay for the day as well.

This place is nice but the pool, which I come here for, is HORRIBLE. If you like swimming laps in a hotel pool, this is the place for you!!! Additionally, their staff is extremely rude. Sheryl (pool manager) literally told me she, "wishes she had a crystal ball, to know when they could start offering their customers what they've been paid to offer again"... when she really needs that crystal ball to let her know when/if she's qualified and has the customer service skills for her job... which she is currently sufficiently lacking. Clearly her and other staff are unaware that without customers like you and me... they are JOBLESS.... but I guess ignorance is bliss.

This is a fantastic facility, one of my favorite places in Fort Collins. It is open to people of all ages although most of its patrons are seniors. It has a well-equipped weight room, and indoor track, basketball and pickleball courts, a swimming pool, hot tub, men and women's locker rooms, a yoga room, a library with four computer terminals and books to lend, and that is just half the facility. The other half has a large pool table room, an elaborate woodworking shop, a sewing room, two large banquet halls, and a number of smaller classrooms. After reopening following covid, they installed a free coffee machine that makes regular coffee as well as specialty drinks. The people who work here are young and very friendly and welcoming. There also are chess, bridge and puzzle assembling clubs. There also are a wide variety of classes that are offered through their quarterly magazine or via their website. Membership fees are very generous and subsidized for low-income hardship cases. I often will spend 2 hours a day in this wonderful facility. It is a special treat for the Fort Collins community.

Yes. It's open and holding classes.
Check at the front desk
Best to just call the main desk and leave a message there. Google maps is not a communications channel as such
Lots of pickleball options at the Senior Center by self rating! Novice plays around 10am Tuesday and Thursday if new to the sport. Some play happens at the Northside Aztlan recreation center, too. Go online for more detailed times of Pickleball at both centers!
Check out the Recreator for more information about programs, day trips and activities. You can pick up a copy at the Fort Collins Senior Center or view the publication online at fcgov.com/recreator.
It doesn't look like they have any Blackhawk trips. Check back with the city of fort collins Recreator online for updated programming info!
The bulletin board is located near the front entrance between the TV and computer on the west side of the wall south of the front desk. It has events the gym schedules and some other things that all has to be approved by the city of fort Collins. Keep in mind they are short on staff now so they close at 5 till they get more staff. They will reassess in August.
I'm guessing they're probably not open they are no longer open after 5:00 their hours are 65 Monday through Friday and 8:00 to 5:00 Saturday and Sunday but something tells me they'll be closed on the 4th but you can double check
The senior center itself does not provide tax preparation. However Vista offers free tax preparation to be held at the senior center. I believe you could contact the senior center for information about when tax preparation will begin or who to contact for more information.
No smoking inside the building. Smoking is allowed outside of the building, but not by the entrances.
Yes, VITA tax services will be on site at the Fort Collins Senior Center this season. The season will start later than normal and COVID safety precautions will be in place. For more information please call the front desk at 970-221-6644.
not that i know of. There may be discount for those families who receive free or reduced lunch
From their website: "The Senior Center is open to all adults but specialized in programming for adults 50 years of age & up." My experience with the Senior Center has been primarily as a venue for weddings, memorials, or parties, and there is no age limit on that use, however it is expected that children will be attended by adults.
Yes.
If you look on the wall before you enter the locker area there is a schedule posted there with all the classes and open swim times.
Don't know, # is published.
I'd call them in morning and ask
Yes
Today at 1:30 and 7pm
Information on all passes and membership rates can be found online here: https://www.fcgov.com/recreation/recpass.php. If you have any specific questions, please call us at 970.221.6644.
You do not need to be a member. $4 per entrance or you can get a monthly pass for ~$40/month
I suggest you call directly or try the PDF of the Recreator. I believe the senior center is intermediate and advanced only. There may be novice classes at the Aztlan Center in North Fort Collins.
Sign up for the classes in the new Recreator starts on Tuesday the 6th for seniors and Thursday the 8th for everyone else.
Plus, you can sign up for the Workshop, like having a garage to work in. For only $25 a year. That's a great value for the price.
FC Senior Center Online ..if you are a member..or registered..or call or in person..best to call them..directly for information..
