Without a doubt, the worst ISP I've ever dealt with. Sales team has no idea what they're doing, technical support is just as bad. Service is garbage, overpriced, and unreliable. Avoid at all costs!

I have had this service for several years due to no better choice. The equipment on their towers is outdated, and constantly breaks. If you have any choice whatsoever do not use them! I now have Starlink at two locations and it is excellent! I now have fast download speeds of over 70Mbs

I lose connections almost at random and from a minute to 10 minutes. This is a problem when I am hosting a book group Zoom meeting and many other times. I have talked to many technicians over the years. A few have helped. Lately it seems that the discussion ends with the tech trying to sell me a Rise modem for monthly fee with no guarantee of a solution. The only solution I have heard is that they are using a public broadcast band that anyone can use for their short wave radios. My best solution may be to go with Starlink. Too bad, I know some of the guys that started the company here in Loveland.

Questions & Answers

How can they continue to charge for a 20 download and only give me less than 5? I don’t get how this is legal

It's "UP TO" 20mbs download. The same with every other ISP in America.

Is Rise Broadband the only viable option for internet service in your region? If so, does their service reflect the fact that they know you're dependent on them?

I thought it was so we went with them at first and after a slew of problems and them providing <10mbps and sometimes <5mbps I switched to 4g and am now getting over 100mbps for only $60 a month no contract, Way less than them and way better internet! If you are considering them I would recommend checking out a 4g or 5g provider instead, you will be glad!
