Great staff! I have lake views and a patio. I love the place and it’s a great price for a graduate student

The staff is very nice and friendly. They will go the extra mile for you. The property is very nice and peaceful. I love the walking trail they have around the pond. They hold many community events and make sure its diverse and inclusive.

Avoid this place!!!! I didn't have the option to give zero star unfortunately. If you are moving to UMICH or Ann Arbor, please avoid Willowtree. They are very irresponsible towards maintenance. All the photos on their website and promotion are highly inaccurate. I reached out to them to get the laundry room cleaned at least three time in one month and it is still same. The gym facility is complete useless, with the treadmills not in function from 8 months. Multiple calls and reminders but no response. The tennis and basketball courts are trash with zero maintenance over the years. They do all the nonsense to attract new tenets and then nothing afterwards. Don't fall for the trap. Next someone will reply to this post saying we are sorry to hear this, we would like to help. Please call this or that number and let us know more. But at end it is all useless.

The only redeeming factor about Willowtree is their cheap rent. Having said that, the rent isn’t even that cheap for what you get when you start to factor in all the utilities - expect to pay an extra monthly $50 for internet, $50 for electricity, $50 gas (if you’re lucky and have a well-insulated apartment), $50 for water… The condition of the units is laughable for what you pay. I guess it makes sense considering they don’t collect security deposits, so they don’t care about apartment conditions in the slightest. Everything’s either on the brink of failure or rusty, moldy, or dirty… our stove top didn’t work on move-in, our window frames were cracked upon move-in, the apartment wasn’t cleaned prior to our move-in, our furnace broke twice, both the sink and bathroom faucets developed serious leaks, our entrance door doesn’t close properly, and the list continues to grow. The condition of the parking lots and streets are atrocious. The potholes are enormous - if you hit one, you’re guaranteed to damage your car. It used to be that two cars could drive comfortably side-by-side, but now, it’s basically a one-way street because of how bad the potholes have gotten. Do not live here. You’ll think it may not be that bad, but it will be the moment something inevitably breaks. The moment you have to try to get management or maintenance to do something, you’ll regret it. Constantly waiting, constantly arguing, and constantly wishing you chose somewhere else to live. Check out the fantastic quality of life at Willowtree we’re documenting, featuring: pests in the walls (ignored by management!), black mold in the bathtub (ignored by management!), a door held in place only by the deadbolt (ignored by management!), and more excellent examples of how little Willowtree cares.
