The building has seen better days. It’s pretty dated and run down. If anyone considering putting your loved one in a nursing home thinks “dated and run down” is really important then you need to check your priorities. The staff and the care they give patients is 100% what really matters, and the staff and care they give here is fantastic. My experience is with the memory care floor, where one would think it would be relatively easy to neglect the patients. But that is absolutely not the case at Regency A-Villa Taylor. The staff is caring, playful, loving ,thoughtful and very considerate of all of the patients—which is more important than any condition the building is in. The food service department is outstanding and makes sure the patients get a variety of wonderful meals! I only gave 4 stars because it would be disingenuous of me not to hold back a star based on the building. But that really isn’t what a decision should be based on.
