I bought the Rad 6 Plus. It has a integrated battery. the battery failed at 3 miles. I called Rad the day after I got the bike about no power and I was told to take tons of pictures and videos for the warranty. Someone not tech save would not have been able to do this. They said that the review team has 48 hours to decide if they are going to send me a new battery so I called this morning to check on it and apparently it had not gotten sent to the review team on Saturday. It's now Monday. The guy said that they have 48 hours to review from today since they did not send on Saturday. I asked how long till I get my replacement battery and he said it could take up to 14 days if approved. I would not recommend the integrated battery because it's very temperamental and will fail and a new one is $599. I paid $1800 for this bike and still cannot ride it for a couple more weeks and hopefully I don't have to buy the new battery. We all know how warranty's go. In my google searches on trouble shooting this I found more videos of failed battery just like this one from RAD. Almost identical situation. Couple miles on it and battery goes bad. Integrated means that you cannot work on them at all and the only thing you can do is replace for $600. The old batteries had a fuse that you can change. This one is integrated into the motherboard so no way to change it.

Fantastic experience with both the quality of the bikes my wife and I purchased and the customer service experience. Great bikes at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

The staff here are amazing! They give me some recommendations and test rides on multiple models. I got a RadMission and a shop assembly with a free tune up. Their service team is super patient and helpful (thanks Daniel)! Everything works great so far for a month and I’m really enjoying my bike!

***Update***Upgrade to five stars. Daniel came through with all the fixes he proposed. I took it out a local bike shop and had the bike fixed and Rad reimbursed us for the cost, including labor. Also, discounted an order we had in. We are now completely up and running. I understand Rad can not control the shipper (in this case FedEx), but having someone to answer a phone and start the process goes a long way to making the purchase worth while. ***Update *** Upgrade to two stars. 08/20 Read another review that had a phone number in it. Called the number and spoke to Daniel who was very helpful and got the repair process started with many options all working in tandem to ensure the quickest fix. I had to dig and find a number and the problem isn’t solved yet, so we will wait and see what happens. We have owned (used) Rad bikes in the past and have enjoyed them immensely. We purchased two brand new bikes which were delivered last weekend. While putting my wife’s together we noticed the front brake cable and brake rotor were damaged. We reported it to Rad four days ago and have not yet received any help except their computer generated response. I am reading other reviews here and I am noticing a theme emerging about service after the sale. The weather is great here in the PNW. I wish my wife and I could ride our bikes together.

My wife and I us the Rad Commuter... works really well on both trail and road... we spend most of our time on the road
Try a Motow... lifts the bike using a screw gun...
I would cover the bikes in any bike rack in rainy weather.
Yes, details here: https://www.radpowerbikes.com/pages/warranty
In the manual it explains how to adjust the top speed. In short, hold the up and down button on the control panel to bring up settings, then scroll to top speed settings and set to 40 km/h. However note that I think local laws require ebikes not go over 20mph, so... Be careful and whatnot.
No. Their website has a "Where to Ride" page you should check out. Two places to rent rad bikes in Oregon. Trip to Seattle may be best if you want the hands on experience.
You will have to get a "stem riser" to accommodate the new bars.
Look at this article https://www.cyclevolta.com/5-hitch-racks-to-carry-your-ebikes/
I would like to know that as well.
I would contact support directly Kevin...I'm sure they can give you an ETA.
You have to make an appointment but yes in Ballard
We went to their showroom in Seattle for a scheduled test ride. Make an appointment on their website.
Yes, there is a service department at Rad Bikes.
I asked that same question. The answer was basically to subscribe to the newsletter and they'll let us all know when that happens. See reply below: Jared Greene (Rad Power Bikes) Jun 29, 2020, 12:18 PM PDT Howdy, Thanks for reaching out to Rad Power Bikes! I am happy to help you with any questions that you may have. At this time, I do not have a specific day for when we anticipate reopening, but we will reopen as soon as our Leadership Teams feel it is safe for both our customers and employees. The best way to stay in the loop of when the showroom will be back open it join our newsletter at www.radpowerbikes.com. As soon as we are back open for will notify folks right away! We hope to see you soon! If there is anything else I can assist with, please let me know. I would also recommend checking out our Help Center directly as it is a great resource for any questions you may have. Stay Rad, Jared
I went to Amazon and got a lockable back box and to Rad City Bikes for my front Rack.
All same price. Shipping included.
If you have a hitch that fits onto the bike, yes. Though I wouldn't pull a child in one doing 20mph.
For the rad Rover: Stand on the left side with your back to the handlebars and your right foot on the kickstand. Move the key on the battery all the way to the left. Gently pull the battery towards the handlebars, up along the frame. Do not try to pick it off the frame. Reverse procedure to mount the battery. Let the battery down SLOWLY, so you don't bend any of the pins at the bottom.
radpowerbikes.com is there direct web site with all there specs for each model bike.
Check the carrying weight limit of your bike rack versus weight of the two Rad Bikes. If your rack holds 3 or 4 bikes, it may be enough. Of course, take the batteries off of the bikes as they weigh about 6 pounds each
Take it back to the shop to fix it. Those do not normally work loose, the ideal fix.
Yes, you can. Sometimes they are out of stock though. Purchase it as soon as you know you want one and they are in stock, because their inventory runs out pretty quickly (especially during peak summer months)

I do not, RAD Power Bikes on either Facebook or Internet does.
They switched batteroes for 2019 but I believe charger is the same. Have to go through Rad website for replacement parts
The RadRover and RadMini are both fat tire bikes that can do well in the sand after lowering your tire pressure.
They aren't. Bionx filed for bankruptcy and isn't a thing anymore.
Very few.. It comes with a basic tool kit. Id take it to an lbs for a tune up once you get it together
You can rent elsewhere... You can test ride at rad
Mr tuffy and Green slime
hell yeah!!!! I have one and I've taken it just about everywhere including up dirt trails
You can get them at any bike shop. Tire size is a general tire. Strongly recommend a heavy duty puncture resistant tire for rear. That takes alot if weight and is a huge pain to change rear wheel. Lug specs must be perfect!
Call tech support and speak to Phil Babcock. He will afdress any problem.
I don't think they sell anything related to bmx. They sell ebikes.
