If you are looking for a reliable venue… stay far far away from this one. The owner stole my security deposit that was promised to be returned after the show. This was All written in contract. We made sure the entire venue was spotless, floors mopped, bathroom cleaned. I would not trust what Tony Benton says and if he claims he’s giving you a “discount” he’s not. Just planning on stealing your refundable security deposit.

Columbia City Theater is a quality spot to see a show. It's not too far off from the Light Rail, there's a fun small brewery nearby, and they have their own bar. The stage is raised to a great level that allows you to see from most areas in the theater, and it's got two tiers for standing room. People working the show have always been super nice letting people in and as people are exiting. I feel like this is a spot that typically has artists that are quality music, but not super popular, so you get a pretty intimate show that has plenty of room for not feeling like a sardine during a show. On the downside, if it's an all ages show, you have to get your drinks from the bar that's not in view of the stage, but you can still kind of hear the music.

What a great little venue. The house technical staff are on point - excellent lighting and sound. I've seen a few bands here and attended a private event. Love the wooden floor for dancing. Bartenders are excellent and the atmosphere is cozy.

This was a quaint little theatre! Every seat is a good seat! The show was AWESOME! Stopped Screw Disney after Dark was a great date night! The bartender was fast and mixed his drinks strong! Made for a great night out with friends! Cool old theatre building!

They sometime bring seats out, it depends on the show and how many people they want to be able to legally host (fire code).

Some fantastic choices in the immediate area, but none within the theatre. Notable selections I can recommend are La Teranga (Senagalese) and Island Soul (Caribbean), across the street and a half block north.
