I am considering contacting the Illinois Department of Financial and Profession Regulations to investigate Mark's conduct. I believe Mark to be borderline abusive based on his behavior toward me and others. I think if he weren't so impatient, he would be better equipped to perform his duties to the standards set forth in his licensed practice. I believe he needs an independent review of his behavior as a professional.

I don't judge a business by its reviews, generally they are written in the spur of the moment after an unpleasant experience. With that being said I went in with high hopes of finding a new pharmacy and getting assistance with my necessary medical supplies. I was appalled how I felt I was treated! I have never felt so disrespected! Medical supplies/prescriptions are a necessity for me however this will NOT be my new pharmacy! I felt ignorant and incompetent when I left after being scolded like I was a child and not to mention the fact that even though I was the only customer at the time anything and everything else was a priority except me!

First time I have written a review in over 5 years but the experience was so astonishing bad it drove me to take the time to write a review. My 80 year old father is traveling to Chicago from Los Angeles to see his grandson play college football at UChicago. He needs a wheelchair to get around. Before the trip, we reserved a wheelchair at Carnegie Sargent. We were told to come in before noon on the Friday before Labor Day weekend. We arrived at 10:45 and the owner was on the phone. He told me to come back in 45 minutes because he was too busy on the phone right now. But he would stop his phone call if we wanted to purchase a wheelchair. We came back in 45 minutes and started to fill out the paperwork. My wife asked if the wheelchair will do well on the Chicago sidewalks. He rudely said I will only talk to one person and won't talk to me anymore unless my wife leaves the building. Then refused to rent us a wheelchair even though it was Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend and my dad was not going to be able to go to the game and see his grandson play football. He knew there were no options. He said renting wheelchairs does not keep us in business, its selling them and I am glad to buy one. He said we are staying at the Peninsula, rooms are $600 a night there and we could surely afford to buy one. We were lucky that we were able to buy one elsewhere. Amazingly condescending person that had a lot of power because he knew the medical equipment was extremely important to us. He clearly abused us with his power. Should not be in the medical business.

I was in town on a business trip and I forgot a piece for my asthma nebulizer. No one had it but I called this place and Mark (I believe that was his name!) was super helpful on the phone and told me to come in because they had it. Great price, great service, and they had what I needed — couldn’t recommend any harder! Thank you!
