If I could give this place six stars I would. I’ve been here many times for not only the house but also all the amazing events put on for our fortunate Knoxville community. Even before entering the house, the courtyard and landscape are breathtaking and so well kept up with. It morphs into a different kind of beauty all year round. I’m talking the best fall colors and the brightest spring flowers. It’s interesting, beautiful and peaceful. Our guide Patrick was warm, fun, welcoming and wildly knowledgeable on not only the house its self but also Knoxville in general. He could tell you absolutely anything about the house and still make it intriguing. He started the tour with a brief but thorough introduction, if you’re into hearing an honest well rounded representation of the houses history and simply like being educated on the attraction you want to see, I would highly recommend this. If you’re a small minded baby, I would highly suggest skipping this and just going to a Smoky Mountain moonshine tasting. I know, sometimes thinking is hard :( But truly, this house is a treasure hunt into the past with each room more impressive then the last. With historical interior design, paintings and literature it brings something interesting for everyone. I’d like to send such a huge thanks to Patrick for how well he is preserving the house and the history that goes with it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house is beautiful. The tour guide is woke and long winded. If you want to stand for an hour in the entry way and listen to liberal propaganda, this is a great place to hear our history re-told. The man in charge of this place is actively trying to destroy everything that ever built grand old houses like this one.

You should have no problem with parking here. But you should worry about are the tour guides. I forgot his name but there's a young man with red hair that is absolutely fantastic. But the rest that are with the historic homes of Knoxville and marble Springs are not worth the salt. I have written reviews and uploaded pictures of all seven stops. I this helps
During standard hours, you have to take the tour. Every couple months they do a 'night at the museum' type evening event that allows you to walk through at your pace. The tours are at a relaxed pace, so you should still have plenty of time to take it all in.
