It was so much better then we imagined and can’t wait to go back next year. We loved the story teller and beautiful views. It was nice you can move around on the train and bring your own food if you wanted.

Oct of 2022. What a wonderful time of year to take the Train ride during the fall. We went with the first class silver star ticket. We had a pleasant dinner (you place your food order when making reservations) with cheese cake for dessert. There is also, complimentary non-alcohol drinks as well as alcohol beverages that are available to purchase. You can also bring snacks if you want. Everyone received, in our train car "silver star", a nice souvenir Smokey Mountain train togo cup & tote bag to take home. There was a guy(train entertainment) playing a guitar & singing a few songs near the end of our tour (tips). Also, there was a youngman taking keepsake photos and returns later with the pictures for you to purchase, if you want. They have a very friendly service crew to help with all your needs and, even during the train ride, they gave entertaining tidbits of interesting information along the way. The train uses the same track to leave the station and return. Before returning back to the station, the crew member will tell you to which sides with the table directly across from you. So it doesn't really matter what side you're sitting on. They take a hour break at the mid-way point of the trip. Nice little place by the river with businesses & restaurant. But, time goes fast by the time you wait to get off train, walk around alittle and have to be back on board before it heads back. This was an enjoyable authentic train ride thu the Smoky Mountains. Would recommend, you folks, to add this to your "Bucket List"❣️.

As we were waiting for the Smoky Mountain Train Excursion, we were able to tour the museum for free. It was so interesting and interactive. We will definitely spend more time there during our next train ride. Although it was very crowded while we were there, the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone we came in contact with seemed genuinely happy to see us! The train ride was spectacular! I had booked an outdoor car and was a little hesitant as my 92 year old mother was going with us. However, workers delivered us to the car in a golf cart and she was encouraged to board early. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the others in the car with us were fun. We had the best seats on the way up but traded with others on the way back. Even then, the views were beautiful. The stop was a little too much of a walk for my Mother so we stayed on the train. We definitely want to do it again!

It is open. They close qt 5
No, they say masks are required but less than 1% were wearing g masks when we went a few days before Christmas. However, all employees were wearing masks.
There are different times of operation during Fall and winter seasons. I would call and check their business hours.
If it is not on there website. I would call
The museum itself is mostly about model trains and they have some amazing scenes set up and running. You'll have to pick up the little kids so they can see. I'd give it about an hour tops.
Not sure about the cost but they will run until the 1st of the year. The polar Express will be that last thing run which is new year's Eve.
Just saw several people with wheelchairs board this morning.
