Good little museum for a small town. We went because we pass the area on our spring and fall travels. Lately the wife had read a book on the New Madrid earthquake of 1811-12. They have a couple short videos one historical and the other geological that set up your tour of the facility. Well worth the $5 entrance fee for adults.

It was nice for a small museum. Lots of information about the earthquake. Most people don't know anything about it so it was very interesting.

The interpreter there was really good and was very knowledgeable. What was in the museum was good I would have liked to seen a lot more stuff in there and bigger it only took us about 10-15 minutes ago through the museum.

We close at 5 thru November.
You can certainly walk your dog along the river and there is a grass lot across the street. We don't have an official policy but we'll usually let you bring your dog in the museum with you.
The gift shop is free to enter. Admission to the museum is $5 for adults and $3 for students under 18. Children under 7 are free
