Post office needs to learn to earn positive reviews. Just found out today that parcels are not required to be delivered to your door if they won’t fit in your mailbox 🤔 hmm. I thought they were to be placed at your front door or at your usual path of entry… never knew why l took so long to deliver the mail, and got so many days off in return to cut down my hours. Wow. Dunno 🤷♀️. Don’t care anymore. Feel like boycotting this place. That’s what they deserve with few exceptions. Thoroughly disgusted by this post office and the regulations that run the brainless wonders. Maybe John wants his mailbox count to decrease, not sure. Doesn’t really matter, does it? Disappointing behavior but not surprised at all. This is the guy that trains the subs (OMG!). I retired from the most hostile work environment I have ever had the pleasure to endure for the minimal reward of a teeny retirement. If you luck out, extra time will be spent bending your periodicals, even creasing them for you so you can check to see that it’s actually your address on that magazine. Don’t assume it came looking like that… folded, spindled and mutilated just for you. Now l realize why people want this to be privatized.and l see why so many complaints are lodged against this place. At least we’ll know why it needed to happen. Wow, a tragic pity. A good batch of people marred by those few that are just enough to ruin it for everyone. Lay off people starting at the top. No need for them at all. Clerks and carriers only. Will avoid USPS whenever possible in the future. The beginning of the end has commenced. Fini! BOYCOTT!

Pinckney post office has been my favorite place to send packages in 2020-2022. Compared to Howell and Brighton they are more easy going and friendly, in my experience.

Call the post office on the 22nd. Told them to hold my mail until the following Wednesday because I put some cement out in front of my mailbox to fill in a hole and everything backed it off with a garbage can so they wouldn't drive through it or anything and guess what. They drove right through it had to go out and refix it if they want it refixed far as I care they can come out and do it themselves cuz I'm not doing it

No idea why they dont answer. They are the hub to my local office. My local office cant even get them to answer, per them. Oh...and they srill havent located my lost package.
Some mail may not be "forwardable" and is automatically shipped back to sender. You should change your address with all parties you get mail from. Unfortunately you need to spend some time on the phone or on-line. Also, you could check with your former post office to see if they are holding any of your mail. If you lived in an apartment or condo, check with the office to see if they have any of your mail. The nice part is.....i bet your not getting as much junk mail.....YET Good luck If you are dealing with the Pinckney office....GOOD LUCK. They have lost a package and cant track it...read my review
Your package is scanned multiple times. Until it says out for delivery and that can vary depending upon the time its scanned. If it is scanned in the morning it will be attempted that day..if later like 1pm and on next day. Because a package says arrived at unit/station this information is just a status update. Depending on your location. 1000-5000 packages arrive daily from multiple sources this is for smaller offices. If your in a large metropolitan area 100,000 + packages are dropped off daily. This time of year 10× those amounts.
Really depends on who’s working whether they’ll return it to sender ASAP
That happens to us too. Said he couldnt get down the driveway. This has happened alot. I think he is afraid of dogs. I also witnessed him drive up and toss the package out of his window onto our driveway... that package was light bulbs!
A good mail carrier would attempt to deliver, but it depends which route you are on, unfortunately. Not too many good ones left that care about their deliveries since there is too much pressure from above to finish as early as possible. Parcel scanners do not give carrier the option of the truth for non-delivery, only the reasons you may be able to see. Dumb.
