Manufacturer can not help due to refurbished or reconditioned status of his machines. Do your homework before shopping here. He sells reconditioned products but will not tell you that at point of sale. The machines are discontinued/obsolete but are priced as new. He told me to call the manufacturer for warranty, so I did. They told me they cannot do anything due to the reconditioned status. He will do nothing to reconcile the issue other than suggest you buy another unit from him. Trying to support local but got burned. There are other vacuum shops in town and I highly recommend avoiding this one. Fooled me once but never again! FRAUD! Edit after owner response: 1. I spoke with the manufacturer and they will not service his machines because they are reconditioned, not new. They are also discontinued/obsolete and replacement parts are essentially impossible to get. The owner did not disclose the remanufactured/discontinued/obsolete status of the machine and implied it was a new unit. 2. The machine has been used fewer than 20 times under normal conditions in a residential setting and has not been abused in any way. Within the first 5 months of ownership, two retaining clips broke away from the machine. One of the clips holds the hose to the base of the unit, and the other keeps the power button in place. 3. The owner and I exchanged pleasantries over the situation while in the store. He then verbally assaulted me as I was leaving the store and then threatened me with deadly force when I confronted him about it. 4. There was no warranty paperwork with the machine due to it having been refurbished. 5. The owner never offered to repair anything on the machine. His only suggestion was that I buy another machine from him. 6. I am not in the business of intimidating any businesses, small or otherwise. I try to buy local whenever possible but will not tolerate being taken advantage of, hence this review. 7. Again, the manufacturer can and will not touch the machines he sells because they are not considered new. 8. He was absolutely unwilling to do anything to reconcile the situation. In summary, The units he sells are refurbished and there is NO manufacturer warranty. If anything goes wrong with the unit, manufacturer's defect or otherwise, you are out the full replacement cost of the machine. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else, somewhere reputable.
