Food was great! We had breakfast and there are a lot of options and they even had vegetarian/vegan breakfast. Would give 5 stars, but we felt rushed by our waitress. Got our food and then our check immediately. Beautiful views and overall good dining experience.

This restaurant provides a fine dining experience with an incredible view of the canyon. It should, since it is located probably less than 50 yards from the south rim. We made reservations as they are strongly suggested. Some individuals in line were quite upset when told that there were no walk-in tables available. The food was quite good: I got a steak that was perfectly cooked, and my girlfriend had pasta. The food came out in a timely manner, and the wait staff was quite attentive. It is fairly expensive, however the location makes this worthwhile. I would definitely make it a point to come here again on my next visit to the canyon.

This was a yummy place to eat in a place that has limited places to eat. I would get here rather early if you want breakfast at one of the best tables with a view as the fill up quickly. They have a good selection of food, my only complaint is the service was rather slow the last time we went but perhaps that was just our waiter that day. Other than that I would highly recommend getting an early breakfast here for a memorable trip!

El Tovar has hands down the best view for a restaurant. It also has a cozy ambiance. The service was 5/5, everyone was so attentive and friendly, really enjoyed that. The food was good, nothing to rave about. We tried the Mediterranean salad which was good. The pesto pasta needed a lot of salt and pepper to give it any flavor. The beyond burger was good and the fries that came with it were good. We got their desert of the day which was the apple strudel pie recommended by the server, it was good but the ice cream was old because it was freezer burn. Overall, it was good, but the service and the view are definitely the best part!
