Someone in that office is picking up the phone and quickly hanging up. This happened to me three times in a row!!! I tried calling back a 4th time and got the message saying they could not handle my call.

Had an issue with my taxes where the IRS said I owed all the taxes my employer withheld. Couldnt get a hold of ANYONE for weeks from the IRS so I looked up this local center and just showed up, hoping someone could help. Didn't have an appointment but the lady at the front still give me some time and looked at my paperwork and managed to squeeze me in and actually help me. SO grateful for her. I don't know what I would have done if she didn't help me!

I went in to prove my identity to the IRS cause I hadn't filed taxes for so long they wanted to be sure I was me before they would let my tax refund go through. I had a very painless interview with Mike at the Tacoma office and we got the identity problem dealt with them took extra time to see if he could speed up the processing time of my refund. Was told it would take u to 8 weeks after I proved my identity. No 7 days later, just one week and money was loaded on my card and I was paid. Great job Mike!

This IRS office does not have the authority to issue refund checks. If the information has been corrected, with no ongoing issues, please allow 6-8 weeks for a live check to arrive.

I'm dealing with the same issue
Can I make a payment
It is not a lengthy process if you have an appointment. By not having an appointment, you run the risk of being turned away, only to be advised to call the appointment number. Especially during tax season, personnel is low and turn-aways are high for those without one.
Probably sent to some Russian hacker who sent in a fake return from info sold on the dark web....or maybe the six minimum wage clerks processing everything haven't had a break in months, seriously they have the worst customer service than any one.
You can walk in but you may need an actual appointment
Yes, they state on their site the following: “Taxpayer Assistance Centers Operate by appointment “. 😊👍🏻
Most of the forms are 1040's and business tax forms. For specialty or unique situations go to the IRS website.
Last I checked, they are only accepting check or money-order at this time.
If you did not receive the first or second stimulus payments, you can report it when you file taxes. This is better explained on the IRS.gov site.
You need to have a appointment and only 1 person per appointment
Try calling your local IRS office. I got the number from their website. I was able to talk to a human, and made my appointment. I was surprised that I was able to talk to a human.
I was going to go in with my oldest son but only one person allowed at a time. You will need an appointment, no walk-ups.

Yes
Idk, Google lol
You have to call the number.
Yes but it will take longer to process just make sure it did not go Through online. Because if it did it would be seen as 2 different forms and it will give a red flag to them because they think you are trying to commit fraud. And you will then have to wait and make and appointment with the after they seend you a letter to call them to make an appointment in person at a local office Good luck and I hope it all works out for you. 😊
I'm not sure but if you went to the IRS down town Tacoma the lady there is hella rude
Yes, u need to make an appointment.
Yes
Yes, you do. As they will need to run through a series of prerequisites that will take a bit of time.
Please don't visit the IRS OFFICE without an appointment
Most transcripts take no more than a few minutes. Do keep in mind this IRS location does require an appointment. So be aware that you may be turned away if you don't have one. Although, in some cases, if there are available personnel, you might get the opportunity to see someone. No guarantees.
Well whatever forms or paperwork you may need for your issue/inquiry and your social security number. Keep in mind this office may require you to set an appointment first.
Yes. For payments, no appointment is necessary.
If you want to make the best of your time an appointment is recommended...
This may be the wrong online thread for you. If you have an IRS question, we may be of service.
What do I need to take for a tractor truck owner for tonnage weight
I would just go down in person. You might have to wait in the lobby but once you get in there the pretty helpful.
No drop box for any payment. You need to go there personally and make payment and get receipt of money you pay the lRS

Yes if you need to discuss a case with an agent. No if all you need to do is make a payment and such.
